Alan Hewitt teams up with ARC USA

ARC USA have announced the signing of current 13.5 Reedy Race of Champions winner, Alan Hewitt. Alan will be using the ARC R11 chassis for the 2016 race season starting with the Reedy Race of Champions this month and he also will attend the ROAR Paved Nationals, IIC and several international races including the Asian On-road Championships. About the move to ARC Alan says:

I am overjoyed and filled with excitement to join Team ARC USA. The quality, fit and finish of the car is excellent. The car has so much corner speed and responds very well to setup changes. I would like to thank Paul Dabao and Willie Chung for this opportunity and hope to continue to learn and progress with the team.

Singapore-based Nelson Lee is the latest addition to Serpent’s growing Asia team, the manufacturer announced. Nelson will campaign the company’s latest Viper 977-Evo 1/8th scale nitro on-road car at the Singapore National series, the coming Futaba O.S. Cup as well as selected international events. Nelson says:

I am honoured and pleased to join Team Serpent. Being part of this prestigious RC brand is like a dream come true. Serpent has never failed to produce a championship winning car. I will race the proven Serpent 1/8 scale Viper-977 evo for the coming Futaba OS Cup and Singapore national series as well as attending some other international races. Sunpadow have announced the signing of Gary Huang of Guangzhou to their factory team. A Modified Touring class A-main finisher at the recent AOC finale in Shanghai, alongside drivers such as Ronald Völker and Jilles Groskamp, Gary already made an impact in the scene and he will participate at both national and international events using Sunpadow’s range of LiPo batteries while also helping with product development and testing.

Dirk Rischard joins ARC for 2016

ARC have announced the signing of Luxembourg’s Dirk Rischard to their team. The former Serpent driver will use the company’s R8.0 2016 nitro on-road kit during this year’s campaign that will include appearances at events such as the Luxembourg and German National Championships, the ENS and other major races. Dirk has to say the following about the deal:

I started my racing career with Serpent and want to thank Serpent Motorsport and especially Ronald, Jirka and Michael to have supported me during the last years. But now it is time for a new challenge and I’m happy to announce to team up with ARC factory team. ARC has one of the most competitive car on the market and I will represent ARC at all major races on the 2016 calendar including ENS, the German and Luxembourg championship as official ARC factory driver and I’m sure together we can achieve good results. I would like to thank Jones Chu and John Ermen for putting the trust in me and for this awesome opportunity. I can’t wait to work with the new team and really looking forward to see you on the track.

Alpha have announced the signing of up and coming Hong Kong driver Jonathan Yeung to their team. The Chinese National Champion will power his Tekno RC vehicles using Alpha’s competition engines and he has the following to say about the deal:

Marc Rheinard to run Yokomo YRX12 at Electric Worlds

Yokomo have announced that Germany’s Marc Rheinard will run the company’s all-new YRX12 1/12th pan car at the forthcoming IFMAR 1/12th scale World Championships in Beijing, China. The Tamiya Factory driver already chooses Yokomo buggies for his 1/10th off-road outings and he will now also run the Japanese manufacturer’s competition on-road pan car at an international level.
