The final round of the Spanish on-road nationals was held at the ARCA track in Madrid, the host of the Stock European Championships. VBC Racing driver Carlos Fernandez swept the stock TC class by pulling the fastest lap and heat time and also winning the A final.

The Indoor Nordic Champs 2012 for electric touring cars and 1/12th scale will be held next to the city of Oulu. Organised by the OSPA club the venue is the same as used during the Electric Offroad Nordics and the 2013 1/12th scale European Championships and the purpose build track is 26x14m in size and made up from pipes and dots. The race will be held as 2 day event with practice on Friday and the actual race on Saturday and Sunday. The handout spec tire for TC is Sweep QTS Pre-Mount 28, the tires are available at the race and only tires bought from the organizer are allowed at the race. Each year, racers in Southern California flock to OCRC Raceway for the annual Surf City Classic. A combination of Pro drivers, out of town racers, OCRC loyalists and a great rookie class make the Surf City a great location for all racers. A fresh track layout and state of the art overhead misting system, and announcing by Nick “the suit” Black sets this track apart. A revamped and updated hobby shop managed by the one and only Jake “Jackie” Thayer, you couldn’t ask for a better staffed event. Straight out of the gates the JConcepts team came out swinging taking several TQ’s. The Bar Codes in gold compound provided the grip on the challenging track for most including TLR/JConcepts and AE/JConcepts drivers Dustin Evans and Steven Hartson who looked unbeatable in their respective classes. Drivers scrambled as track conditions changed throughout the weekend but the round 1 quick drivers remained up front and took the overall TQ positions, Dustin Evans (2wd modified), Steven Hartson (4wd modified and 1/8th E-buggy), Kody Numedahl (2wd SCT), Kevin Motter (2wd and truck stock) and Brent Thielke (modified truck – Finnisher T4.1 body).

The 7th Petit RC Race will take place at the Mustit Raceway in Moss/Norway from the 11th to 13th of January. After successful events in France and the UK, both run on carpet tracks, the Petit RC crew will create something completely new as the 2013 race will be held on an US-style indoor clay track. The fourth round of the Portuguese TC nationals took place in Sintra. The fast and flowing track lacked grip due to the fact that the circuit was closed for all of August but the conditions were the same for everyone although some teams struggled to get the cars running properly. Come Sunday morning the qualifying heats started and Francisco Henriques showed a very good pace and qualified 2nd for the A-main with Hugo Miguel setting TQ. Both were chased by José Carvalho. Come the finals Francisco Henriques had some troubles in the first main but managed to secure the win in the second and third run handing him the win with Hugo Miguel in second and José Carvalho in third overall position.

Dave Arnold has won the 1/12 Modified class at the recent ROAR Paved On-Road Nationals. The On-Point, Trinity and Speed Passion team driver TQ’ed every qualifying round and also won the single A main in front of Chris Mackenzie and RJ Evans.

Last weekend saw the Polish electric on-road championships in Warsaw organized by the Polish Model Car Federation. The biggest race in the season attract over 60 drivers form Poland and Lithuania. The weather for the practice day was unusual as the drivers saw themselves faced with high humidity but now rain at all. This made the sugar that was used as traction enhancer sticking to the tires letting the cars behave like drift cars after two or three minutes on the track. This made for a hard time for both drivers and mechanics and lead to different TQs in all qualifying rounds. In the modified class the overall TQ went to Tamiya driver Michal Orlowski in front of Blazej Orlowski (Xray), and Mateusz Ogonowski (Yokomo). In ProStock the pole position was secured by Bartek Zambrzycki in front of Pawel Staszewski (Tamiya) and Wojtek Rozwadowski (Tamiya). Come Sunday the weather showed a much brighter side with low humidity and therefore predictable track conditions. In Modified class all three final runs went to Michal Orlowski. This secured Michal the championship title with Piotr Okonski in second (both Tamiya) and Mateusz Ogonowski (Yokomo) in third place. In ProStock the unexpected winner was Blazej Chlodzinski (Tamiya), who started from the 6th on grid and worked his way up. The second place went to Pawel Staszewski (Tamiya) with Wojtek Rozwadowski (Tamiya) the third.

Mibosport with support from Yokomo and LRP have announced their winter race series. Last year 220 drivers from six different countries including European Champions Ronald Völker and Hupo Hönigl attended. The series will take place in the Czech Republic, in the popular city of Hrotovice, where previously the ETS, EOS and European Indoor Championships have been held. The event will take place indoors, in a hall that has enough space for 2 separate tracks, on-road and off-road. The on-road track will be 30x20m in size, and the off-road track will be 30x16m.
