Andy Moore wins BRCA Winter National

The BRCA held it Winter National at the popular Ardent indoor raceway near Derby at the weekend. This was the second year that Ardent had hosted the event, the format was three rounds of qualifying with the top 32 drivers going through to a Reedy style race of champions. The remaining drivers contested a more familiar UK national format with round by round qualifying and three leg final. Joern Neumann takes Reedy ROC Invitational title

The Reedy International Race of Champions which was held last weekend at WCRC in California came to an exciting conclusion with the top 3, Ryan Cavalieri, Jorn Neumann and Ryan Maifield, going into the final race all in the same final to determine the champion. Maifield and Neumann started on the front of the grid while Cavalieri had to start from the back. At the sound of the tone Maifield and Neumann shot to the front and had a fierce battle the entire race. Maifield was in the lead until he made a small mistake allowing Neumann to go by. Cavalieri pushed as hard as he could and passed 2 cars on the last corner of the race to finish 3rd.  The win by Neumann gave him the overall by 1 point over Ryan Cavalieri, who fought hard to the very end, with Maifield taking the final podium spot. Joern’s victory is the first for a European racer in this prestigious event and sees the Durango driver continue his top form with wins at all races this year.

Ben Sterling joins Xray Australia

Ben Sterling, one of Australia’s top 1/10 off-road racers, has joined Xray Australia. Ben will race both 1/8 nitro and electric-powered Xray cars as well as provide technical and set-up support to all Xray drivers. He had this to say:

I am glad to be apart of Team Xray Australia for the 2012 season but first I would like to thank Kyosho and Dawn Trading for all their support in the past years. It will be a new experience and learning curve running 1/8 offroad for 2012 but I am looking forward to the challenge and having the opportunity to run for Team Xray and the new XB9 platform.
