Wilck heads Hara after P3 at ETS Rd6

Viktor Wilck is setting the pace in practice for the sixth and final round of the Xenon Racing back Euro Touring Series here in Andernach. The Swede is fastest over three consecutive laps and also over the full five minutes around the Andernach track which is running a slightly different layout to that used last year. Behind the factory Tamiya driver is the Hot Bodies pairing of Atsushi Hara and Andy Moore.

Kenny & Bickerstaff win Much More UK GP Rd2

The Much-More Racing UK GP visited the Ballymoney track in Northern Ireland last weekend for the second round of a three round GP series which has already taken in Stonehaven in Scotland and concludes at the Carlisle track in North West England on August 13th to 15th. Despite missing the pole grid position, it was local driver Graham Kenny (Schumacher) who won the first of the two leg A final in the Pro Stock class which every driver competed in on the Saturday. Rain interrupted the second leg and it was Scott Kenny that took the win in leg two but Graham’s fourth place rewarded him with the overall title ahead of Keith Dempsey and Mark Gilliland.

Nic Case aims for 200mph+ with the Streamliner

World record holder Nic Case was in touch to give us an update on his Streamliner build. The car seems to be coming along nicely, with the guys at Area 51 Design doing an great job with all of their support. Nic reckons that with all the input of experienced & talented individuals that the possibility of reaching 200mph with an R/C car is within reach. On August 15th, at Heartland park dragway they plan to find out if this beast can do it. Power is supplied by a 1521 Neu motor, 12 cell Power Edge LiPo battery, and the sophisticated power management of a Castle Creations speed controller. The Vulcanized tires are still being made and the body will be the same CFD developed one as last year. The gears are the finest made 32 pitch hardened steel version by RW, while the radio will be the Fasst System from Futaba.

Frank Root wins JBRL Electric Rd5

The Jimmy Babcock Racing League kicked off the second half of the 2010 season at Pegasus Hobbies Saturday, July 3rd. A new layout was in place, and the track was nice and smooth needing to be watered throughout the day to ensure premium traction. Team Losi Racing team drivers Frank Root, Ryan Dunford, Casper Nielson, Aaron Lane, Keith Whisler and Michael Gonzales were all on hand to represent and support Team Losi Racing customers.

Tom Cockerill does double at Belgian GP

Schumacher are reporting on last weekend’s Belgian GP at MBV Kampenhout. This is an annual event held in a park that coincides with a many other local activites, making it a very popular meeting, that quickly becomes over subscribed when entries open. About 18 English drivers made the trip over and all thoroughly enjoyed the meeting. Schumacher UK Team Driver Tom Cockerill was one of the Brits that made the trip over.

Henriques wins Portuguese EP TC Championship Rd3

Round 3 of the Portuguese EP TC Championships was run in Torres Novas last weekend with 29 drivers attending the meeting. In the Modified class, it was Francisco Henriques (above) got the top spot at the end of the finals, but it was a very close race with the winner decided at the last corner of the last A final. Hugo Miguel took 2nd and Nuno Gancho was 3rd. In the Stock Class, it was Bernardo Cosme that emerged the winner followed by Ricardo Gama and Bruno Castela.

Rheinard is World Champion

Rheinard is World Champion

Marc Rheinard is the 2010 IFMAR Electric Touring Car World Champion successfully defending his title with another easy win in the  second A-Main.  Once again Jilles Groskamp was out of luck with Hayato Matsuzaki taking second over his Yokomo team-mate Yannic Pruemper in what was an incident filled race

Rheinard cruises to easy Leg 1 victory

Marc Rheinard has moved one step closer to defending his World Championship title with an easy win in the first of the three A-Mains here in Germany. The Top Qualifier led from start to finish to head home his young Tamiya team-mate Elliot Harper with Kyosho’s Christopher Krapp completing the Top 3.
