Andreas Myrberg wins German South Rd1

Xray are reporting on their site from the first round of the Southern German electric regionals that took place at the start of June on the Türkheim track, host of the 2006 Euros. Qualifying saw Xray racer Andreas Myrberg take the top qualifying spot from Yokomo racer Martin Hofer in 2nd, and this pairing would carry this battle through to the finals. The first final saw a very close battle between the 2 with Andreas getting the win closely followed by Martin, the 2nd final saw a clear win for Myrberg again with Hofer once again in 2nd and with this result the Xray driver took the overall win from Hofer in 2nd and another Xray racer Florian Bernklau in 3rd.

Bury Metro Nationals report by oOple

The third round of the BRCA electric buggy nationals were held last weekend multi surface Bury Metro track in the mid west of England. The weather for the weekend was for rain but that rain never turned up and instead the capacity crowd were treated to some scorching sun. The 2wd class was completely dominated by World Champion Neil Cragg who took the TQ and easily won the race with his Associated B4 while in 4wd it was Losi racer Darren Bloomfield that took the TQ and the event win.

Hickersen & Mitch take Rd7 of FSORS

Hickersen & Mitch take Rd7 of FSORS

Our partners Neo Buggy have a report from round 7 of the FSORS that was held at the new Farmer’s Raceway in Tampa Florida last weekend. In 1/8 Truck, it was series defending champion, Gene ‘the machine’ Hickerson, who took TQ in round 1 & 2 with his CEN Matrix TR Arena. In the 30 minute A-main it was all Hickerson again who lead from start to finish, lapping everyone but JJ Turk in 2nd with 3rd place going to Anton Watson. In the 1/8 Buggy class it Kyosho’s Ryan Eckert who again took TQ in round 1 & 2 while at the start of the 30 minute A-main, Jason Ruona took the early lead, followed by Hickerson and Eckert closely behind. Thunder Tiger racer JR Mitch worked his way up from 10th spot on the grid to move into 2nd before Ruona ran out of fuel near the end, and Mitch could take the win followed home by Eckert in 2nd and Hickerson in 3rd.

French Buggy Nationals – Round 4

French Buggy Nationals - Round 4

Round 4 of the French electric buggy Nationals were held last weekend at the gravel Vierzon track in the center of France. The 4wd class saw a dominant performance by Antonie Rossetti, who claimed the top qualifer spot and went on to win with the X-Factory X-5 buggy from 2nd placed Losi racer, and round 3 winner, Carl Maignien while 3rd went to Academy runner Olivier Demonfumat. The 2wd class was TQ’d once again by Rossetti, this time with the X-6 buggy, and he made it look easy in the final taking the win from his 2nd place team mate Alexander Valente with 3rd spot going to Kyosho racer Arnaud Collet.

Andy Moore takes Modified class at Much More UK GP

Andy Moore takes Modified class at Much More UK GP

Andy Moore has not put a foot wrong this weekend, after winning yesterdays 19T class, the World Champion dominated todays modified class at the Much More UK GP held in Stonehaven, Scotland. Qualifying saw the Hot Bodies racer take the pole position from yesterdays runner up, Chris Grainger, racing for Yokomo, while 3rd position went to Team Associated driver Graig Drescher. Something to note was that the 4th placed qualifier was Niels Koenekoop, from the Netherlands, who was racing the soon to be released Serpent S400 and who seems to have made the car more to his liking for todays run, after only qualifying in 11th yesterday. In the final the race order didnt change in the top half of the field with Moore winning the 2 finals to take the win followed home by Grainger in 2nd, Drescher in 3rd and Niels Koenekoop in 4th.

Andy Moore wins 19T Much More UK GP

This weekend saw the Much More UK GP, which we published an announcement about a while back, take place in Stonehaven in Scotland. The event attracted a lot of quality racers including the current World and European Champion Andy Moore and he proved his worth in Saturdays 19T class qualifying to take the TQ spot ahead of Associated TC5 racer Craig Drescher, Yokomo racer Chris Grainger lined up in 3rd. In the finals it was a simple event for Moore, the Hot Bodies racer taking 2 leg wins to claim the overall from Grainger in 2nd, with two 2nd positions, and 3rd going to new Schumacher signing Jimmy Maddison. The Modified class is being run today and we hope to bring you the results from that when we get them.

2007 Reedy Race of Champions – Videos

The 2007 Reedy Race of Champions is history for another year and it was Rheinard, Cavalieri and Lewis that took the top honours at the events final run on the Tamiya race track in California. As expected the event attracted a lot of interested people and some of these people had video cameras and so we can now show you some of the action from the event. The video above is from the A1 Open Mod final, which you can watch directly in the embedded player, while below are more races and atmosphere videos.

Elliott Harper wins BTCC Round 4

BTCC Round 4

Last weekend saw the 4th round of the BTCC Championship held at Broxtowe on a glorious weekend and in qualifying it was Hot Bodies racer Elliot Harper that secured the pole position. Harper carried his qualifying pace through into the final and he could go on to win the overall event with a win in an incident filled first final and another win in the second, more straight forward, final.
