This weekend was the 2017 RC Pro Series finals, the largest event of the year for the series with 191 entries total for the race. Team Associated driver Jerry Dean Jr. was in a close battle with Agama driver Jake French as both battled for the TQ until the last round. Ultimately Jake took the TQ by tie breaker setting up a great triple A-main battle. A1 went to Jake as A2 went to Jerry. Hayato Ishioka wins Mod class at 2017 Kazuki Cup

Famous Japanese RC car racer Kazuki Endo recently held its annual Kazuki Cup at the Kyosho R246 outdoor tarmac track in the Kanagawa prefecture. The event saw the running of six electric on-road categories one of which was a budget cap class that had the competitors built their race cars within a 20,000 Yen (150€/180US$) budget – including motor, body and tyres. However the premier category was Touring Modified with Kyosho’s Hayato Ishioka taking the TQ and new Destiny driver Yugo Nagashima putting his car on the 2 spot. Hayato had the hole shot at the rolling style start as Yugo made a mistake and lost his position. Although Yugo finally moved up to 2nd again, Hayato’s race was pretty much smooth sailing and he ultimately won the A-main as up and coming racer Ion Shionoya took the overall 3rd spot with his Xray. Videos and more results from the event can be found here.
