Kyosho Europe have announced the signing of Bradley Baird to their team. He joins a young Kyosho UK team and his first major race will be in February at the Montpellier GP in France. Brad will be racing the BRCA 1/8th National events, local club races in 1/10th and 1/8th off-road as well as the Kyosho Masters in June at the Sucy en Brie track.

The second round of the Norwegian Cup was run at the Lucky Raceway in Fredrikstad, host of the 2015 Nordic Championships. Classes run were Touring Modified, 13.5T Stock Blinky and 1/12th on-road and in the Modified class Helge Johannessen took the TQ with a prototype ARC R11 car in front of Petter Berntsen (Xray) and Andreas Daving (Schumacher). In the supporting Stock class Fredrik Haavardsrud (ARC) came out fastest after the qualifiers from Lars Haugen (Xray) and Trygve Berntsen (Gizmo). Finally in the 1/12th pan car class Lars Haugen (Xray) took the TQ from Lars Tommy Berntsen (Xray) and Trygve Bull Freng (Xray).
Team Durango have announced the signing of 2014 Reedy Race 2WD Open class winner and Stock ROAR National Champion, JP Richards to their team for 2016. The former TLR driver has a wealth of racing experience to bring to the team with also a strong focus on further increasing track side support and social media coverage for all Team Durango drivers. JP has the following to say:

The third round of the International Indoor Off-road Cup held at Model Indoor Oss took place this past weekend. In the 2WD Buggy class Oliver Speith (Schumacher) took the TQ with a clean sweep from Schumacher teammate Bart Mullink. The finals then again were an easy affair for the German who scored wins in all three A-mains to take the day’s victory from TLR’s Wesley van Helmond with Bart Mullink rounding out the top 3 result. The 4WD Buggy class had David Pauwels (Yokomo) being equally dominant as Oliver in 2WD. The TQ holder would win all three A-finals from runner-up after the qualifiers, Arie Vos (Xray). Bart Wubben (Xray) rounded out the podium result in 3rd.

Team Losi Racing have announced the signing of Tanner Denney to its Factory Team. The former long time Associated driver brings years of experience and race winning results to the team including countless JConcepts Indoor National wins, KBRL Series wins, ROAR National finalist and the coveted Reedy Race Open Class Champion to name just a few. Denney will once again be teammates with one of his local mentors, Ryan Maifield. Maifield took Denney under his wing at a young age and helped groom him into the talented racer he is today. To round out the deal, Denney will be making the switch to run the new Spektrum servos in all of his 1/10 and 1/8 vehicles. In the horsepower department, Denney will also be making a change to Team Orion.

The AMCT Tour club will hold a 24 hours race on the weekend of the 18th of June 2016. The track is located in the Loire valley only around 80 kilometres away from the iconic city of Le Mans. Cars allowed to race are 2WD pan cars such as converted 1/10th formula cars, WGTs or dedicated rubber tyre pan cars with bodyshells raced at the actual Le Mans 24 hours race. All cars have to be equipped with lights and “blinky” brushless speed controllers while the 17.5T motors are provided by the organisers. Two sets of Ride XR tyres are also provided while special rain tyres are allowed in case of a wet race. The event kicks off on Friday with open practice and the actual 24 hours race starts on Saturday at 1 pm. The third round of the Xray Winter Series Morava was held just before Christmas and it attracted a total of 105 entries in the five classes of Touring Open, Touring Stock 17.5T, Formula, GT and Hobby. In the Open class Kuba Simurda lead the proceedings right from the start but he was closely followed by young and talented Oliver Havranek who did his best to stay in touch with Kuba. Although he tried very hard, bad luck for Oliver meant he had to settle for third overall in the finals with Michal Vitamvas grabbing the runner-up spot.
