BRCA Touring Car National Series Rd2 – Report

Mendip is one of the UK’s oldest and well established tracks, and this past weekend it hosted round two of the BRCA Touring Car series and witnessed a win for Chris Grainger. Chris took the TQ with his Team Associated car and went on to dominate the finals ahead of the Schumacher of Elliott Harper. Starting fourth was Andy Moore and he made his way through a close fought mid field to complete the podium ahead of round winner Olly Jefferies and Capricorn driver Stef Chodzynski. The result for Grainger puts him in the championship hunt and marks his first major win since joining Team Associated at the start of the season.

Christoffer Svensson takes Swedish 4WD Buggy title

Following Oskar Levin’s 2WD Buggy title Christoffer Svensson has taken the 4WD title during last weekend’s Swedish 1/10th Electric Off-road Nationals. Hosted by the Höörs RC Klub the 4WD race saw Kyosho’s David Ronnefalk taking the TQ but it was Yokomo driver Christoffer who grabbed the winning honours from David while TLR’s Otto Ausfelt rounded out the podium in 3rd.

Oskar Levin takes Swedish 2WD Buggy title

Oskar Lewin takes Swedish 2WD Buggy title

The Swedish 1/10th Electric Off-road Nationals were held at the Höörs RC Klubb’ multi-surface track this weekend. In the 2WD class Team C’s Oskar Levin came out successful from Yokomo’s Christoffer Svensson. Otto Ausfelt (TLR) rounded out the podium in 3rd.

Cody King doubles at JBRL Nitro Series Rd3

Round 3 of this year’s JBRL Nitro Series was held at the Fear Farm R/C Raceway in Phoenix, AZ. In the 1/8th Nitro Expert Buggy class Kyosho’s Cody King came out successful from Adam Drake (Mugen) and Mike Truhe (Serpent) and Cody also went on to win the Expert Nitro Truggy main, this time in front of Tekno RC’s Billy Fischer and Team Associated driver Tanner Denney. The 1/8th E-Buggy class saw Mugen’s Adam Drake taking the day’s win from Billy Fischer (Tekno RC) in 2nd and Danny Trevino (Serpent) in 3rd.

Jake Mayo sweeps Pro-Line Mid Summer Shootout

The 5th annual Pro-Line Mid Summer Shootout was held at Coyote Hobbies with the one day event having more than 260 entries. In the Expert Stock 2WD qualifying it was a dogfight for the TQ honors between Brendan Wheatley and Kamryn Ayers. They went back and forth throughout qualifying as Brendan got the TQ in round one only to have it taken by a dominating run by Kamryn in round two. Brendan went on to the Expert Stock Truck class to take the TQ overall with his round one time. In the Modified 2WD division, Cody Turner took the TQ and last but not least was rising star Jake Mayo. He nearly had the TQ in 2WD but was edged out by Turner in the final round of qualifying. That wasn’t the case in the Modified Truck and 4WD divisions though, as he dominated Modified Truck qualifying and went to take the top spot in 4WD Modified with a perfect run in round two.

JConcepts Summer Indoor Nationals – Announcement

The JConcepts Summer Indoor Nationals will be held from the 11th to 12th of July at the Outback Raceway in Chico, CA. This race will be held at AMain.com’s new and improved facility, to give racers an even better experience while racing and enjoying themselves. The Summer event of this first of its kind, true Indoor National Series will start on Thursday with open practice and a Thursday Night Club Race and officially kicks off on Friday with controlled practice. Milanowicz wins Formula class at Polish Nats Rd3

The third round of Polish On-road Nationals was held at the track of Ruda Slaska. Nice weather had the track temperatures rising up to 55°C which made setup a bit problematic for the Formula drivers due to the high grip level. At the end it was Michal Milanowicz (Xray) who came out successful in the A-finals from Przemyslaw Wicher and Jan Ruman (Xray) who were all in the mix for the overall win until the final leg.

Georgiadis takes win at Greek National TC Champs Rd2

The second round of the Greek National Touring Car Championships was held at the Fanatix Racing Track with participants from all parts of the country. Local racer Georgiadis took the TQ after the three qualifying rounds and he also set a new track record of 17.449s, breaking the previous record set by Alexander Hagberg. The triple A-mains then had Georgiadis making a clean sweep by coming in 1st in each of the three legs. John Doucakis managed to grab the runner-up spot coming from the 5 spot on the grid, while Filippos Isaakidis lost one place to finish in 3rd overall.
