The 10th Annual Southwest Indoor Gran Prix was hosted by Competition Hobbies in Tucson, Arizona with this years layout was designed and built by The Dirt Racing’s Joey Christensen. TLR/Novak/Pro-Line Racing driver Trevor Clement TQ’d all 4 rounds of qualifying in Pro4 and took the A-Main win leading from wire to wire.

Josh Pain (Yokomo) has taken out the 2WD and 4WD Open buggy classes at the Brikmakers Western Australian State Championships in Perth after a challenging weekend of racing with wildly variable weather. Ray Munday (Associated) flew over from Melbourne for the weekend and finished a close 2nd in 2WD and 4WD as well as taking TQ and 1st in 2WD Short Course. Jarrod Smith took a promising double win in 2WD and 4WD stock. The West Coast club had prepared a very fast, flowing and challenging track for all competitors and the sugared surface had high traction throughout practice. Unseasonal rain on Saturday (2WD day) completely washed away the groove and the surface became very low traction and then very muddy. The 2WD portion had to be deferred until after 4WD on the Sunday, making for a very long day finishing under lights after 8pm. The sun came out again and 4WD qualifying started out very loose but by the finals a groove was forming and provided great racing. AKA Re-Bars were used as the control tyre in buggy and Pro-Line Suburbs in SCT.

The first out of seven races of the 2013/14 Mibosport Cup attracted over 130 drivers from six countries including some of the World’s top drivers such as Ronald Völker, Marc Rheinard, Marc Fischer and Zdenko Kunák. The race was held in a variety of electric classes such as 2WD and 4WD buggy, Formula, Yokomo GT, Stock LRP and Modified TC. In the Touring Car Modified class all qualifiers and finals went to Yokomo team driver Ronald Völker. Second overall became Marc Fischer (Serpent) in front of Marc Rheinard (Tamiya). A great battle was on for fourth place between Zdenko Kunak and Rene Klockner with the better end for Zdenko.

Tekno RC’s Barry Baker and Chad Panek brought home the overall titles in their respective classes at the 2013 JBRL finale. After consistent scoring during the season Barry took the overall championship in the Pro4 Short Course class with his Tekno RC SCT410 while Chad grabbed the 1/8th E-buggy title with his EB48.2 buggy.

The last round of the Greek electric off-road nationals was held at the Action Race astroturf facilities just outside Athens. Both 2WD and 4WD modified buggy classes were open for different title contenders, in 2WD Team Kyosho had two cars in the A-Main starting from TQ and third position on the grid. Pole man John Papanikolaou took two convincing wins in A1 and A2 securing the win. Argiris Papagiannakopoulos who was leading the 2WD championship and had to settle for 4th but that was enough to win the 2WD national championship. In 4WD again anything could happen with two racers aiming for the win and title. Again John Papanikolaou had the speed to TQ but settled for second on the grid with Argiris starting 6th in the A-Main final. Papanikolaou took his Kyosho Lazer FS2 SP to the second place on the podium that actually gave him his first national EP off-road title, while Papagiannakopoulos finished 5th after some troublesome final heats, but secured his second place on the championship title.

The Hobbywing Asia Open 2013 will be held on December 14th and 15th in Guangzhou, China. The event will be run in Modified and Stock Boosted 13.5T classes and will see the attendance of the three former Touring Car World Champions Atsushi Hara, Andy Moore and Surikarn C. The second round of the Western Canadian Indoor Championship Series was held in the Capital city of Edmonton, Alberta. A record turnout for this race was just the beginning, and the entire weekend was a huge success. Racers from across Western Canada battled it out in 7 different classes. In the Team Great Hobbies sponsored Touring Car Stock class, after 4 rounds of qualifying, Steve Soon (Serpent) set TQ ahead of Austin Hauch (Xray). Steve kept it fast and clean and in a similar Vettel style performance, claimed pole, fastest lap and win. Ryan Rice (Xray) moved up to second, and Austin held on for 3rd. This past weekend One Lug Raceway located in Albertville Alabama hosted its second annual Carpet Duel Challenge. Drivers from all over the South East United States attended this Duel. The biggest class by far was the ever growing Spec 17.5 TC class. Setting the early TQ in round 1 was Team USA ARC/Viper driver Fernando Gordinho. Fernando not only managed to TQ every round of qualifying in both TC and 1/12 but continued to drive his Trinity/Viper powered vehicles to both A-main podiums in both classes.
