SkyRC Toro X8 V2 1/8th scale brushless motor

SkyRC have introduced their new Toro X8 V2 electric brushless motor for 1/8th scale applications. The sensorless motor is housed in a CNC-machined T6 billet aluminium heatsink can and it is of a 6-pole, 18-slot stator design for a high-torque, high-power output. Utilising super high conductance silicon wires, a sintered neodymium magnet rotor and high purity copper windings the motor also offers high efficiency for low operation temperatures. The X8 V2 is available in a 2100kv and a 2400kv variant soon.

Pro-Spec introduce new brushless speed controller

Japanese company Pro-Spec have introduced their new brushless speed controller, developed in cooperation with ORCA. Currently still in prototype stages, also sporting the original ORCA case, the internals are redesigned to offer a smoother power band without sacrificing punch when needed. Also the brake software was renewed, again to smooth out the reactions on brake input but like the throttle characteristics the brake output can be sharpened when conditions call for it. The final ESC may come with an updated case design and we bring you more information on the project once they become available.

Muchmore Impact Linear LCG 5200mAh 4S LiPo battery

Coming from Muchmore is the new Impact Linear LCG FD2 5200mAh 14.8V LiPo battery pack. Offering a reduced height of 36mm the 4S pack is build from high-performance 110C cells for high power output in demanding racing conditions. The lower height compared to standard 4S packs makes for an overall lower centre of gravity, resulting in faster cornering of both off-road and on-road cars. The pack comes pre-wired with 10AWG wire, a T-type plug and an XH balancer connector.

Hiro Seiko Power Cable 13AWG translucent silicone wire

Coming from Hiro Seiko is the new Power Cable 13AWG wire with translucent silicone coating. Available in 60cm coils the wire is made of 1274 pure copper strands for very low resistance and an ultra-soft feel. The pre-tinned wire also makes for very easy soldering and it is available now.

SkyRC Toro X8 Pro 1/8th brushless motor

Coming from SkyRC is the new Toro X8 Pro brushless motor for 1/8th scale applications. Sporting a CNC-machined T6 billet aluminium heatsink can, the 4-pole motor comes with a 12-slot stator and a high-torque motor design for improved performance in demanding conditions. Ultra-thin 0.2mm stator laminations and high-purity copper windings make for maximum efficiency with the sintered Neodymium rotor further upping torque capabilities. High-RPM oversized bearings and heavy duty solder tabs add to the features list of the motor that, for now, is available as 2150kv variant only.

Futaba GYC440 car drift gyro & SBS-01C current sensor

Futaba have introduced the GYC440 car drift gyro and the SBS-01C current sensor. Starting with the gyro, the ultra-lightweight and compact GY440 series single-axis gyro offers setup ease and it is S.Bus and S.Bus2 capable. Dip switches select gyro direction and mode, with information clearly displayed by green and red LEDs. Also new is the SBS-01C current sensor. Compatible with select FASSTest and T-FHSS S.Bus2 systems, the SBS-01C collects real-time data on motor current, battery voltage and capacity used. It also allows to set vibration and/or audible alarms for any three functions, and use the transmitter’s data logging functions for more detailed power system analysis.

Arrowmax 7200mAh 11.1V 3S LiPo battery pack

Arrowmax have introduced their latest high-performance 11.1V 3S hardcase LiPo battery pack. Offering a capacity of 7200mAh and being built using 110C/55C cells the battery is ideal for high-power applications such as monster trucks, 1/8th “Lite” E-buggies and also 1/8th on-road cars. The battery comes pre-wired with a T-plug connector and standard balancer port and it is available now.

Team Powers PS Cap power capacitor boards

Coming from Team Powers are two heavy duty power capacitor boards for 1S and 2S applications. Designed to improve initial motor punch and reduce motor fading over the course of a run, the capacitor boards are ideal for Stock and 1/12th scale racing. The 2S board utilises three capacitors while the 1S unit is of a smaller two-cap design with both featuring sturdy and easy-to-mount aluminium cases and heavy duty solder tabs. Both boards are made for the use in place for the speed controller’s stock capacitors and they are available soon.
