Arrowmax have introduced their new line of low-profile LiPo battery packs. First up is the 7.4V 6000mAh pack made from high-performance 55C/110C cells. Just 22.5mm tall the pack makes for an overall lower centre of gravity compared to standard 25mm batteries which can lead to faster cornering and improved lap times. Targeting both Modified and Stock touring car racers the battery features 5mm gold-plated connector tubes and it is available now.

Fenix Racing DFV2 stock brushless motors

Coming from Fenix Racing are the DFV2 electric brushless motors. Building on the popular DFV the version 2 offers a redesigned can with additional cooling openings for a lower operation temperature and more consistent performance over a run. Also new are an updated stator with improved wiring and a new epoxy-balanced rotor with 5mm front bearing and improved magnetic strength. Available as 13.5T and 21.5T variant the motors are built to meet EFRA specifications with the company currently seeking homologation for the 21.5T motor to make sure it is legal to race at the forthcoming Euros.

Coming from HRC Racing is the TSW LiPo safety bag. The industry-standard bag allows to store up to two 2S packs and it is made from fire-resistant material to reduce harm created in case a LiPo battery goes boom during charging, discharging or storage. Japanese company GForce have introduced their new Catapult R LiPo battery packs. The batteries are available in four different specifications including a 3300mAh and 4200mAh 60C and 5200mAh and 5800mAh 70C variants all of which utilise updated hardcases with through-type connectors. The packs also sport split-type stickers to allow for easy mounting using tape and they will become available by the end of May.

Coming from Xenon Racing are the NovaTested high-performance 1/12th scale LiPo battery packs. Available as 7.4V 3200mAh 110C and 3.7V 8000mAh 100C pack, the batteries are of a low-profile design and tested for performance with the voltage and capacity test results written down individually. While the 1S pack is intended especially for 1/12th scale racing the 2S pack is also good for the use in 1/10th 2WD buggies and other applications.

Sanwa Super Vortex Gen2 & Stock Type speedos

During this week’s Shizuoka Hobby Show in Japan Sanwa have introduced the new Super Vortex Gen2 and Super Vortex Stock Type brushless speed controllers. Starting with the Super Vortex Gen2, the controller is the follow-up model of the Super Vortex Zero and features SSR and SSL compatibility, it can make use of the Code 10 feature for M12S and Exzes ZZ radios and it also sports improved telemetry functions. All that is housed in a new all-aluminium case and the controller is fully programmable using Sanwa’s optional programming box.
