Following the release of their 6500mAh stick pack back in November, Scorpion have introduced two new configurations of their 7.4V Platinum series LiPo battery packs. The hard cased 5600mAh saddle and 4200mAh shorty packs are built from high-quality 65C cells and are usable in a wide range of competition applications.
Elangears have released a new compact charger called the Tiny-G. Featuring a very small footprint this DC unit can charge up to 10A and discharge at maximum 1A and can handle all the common types of batteries. When charging Li-HV (Lithium High Voltage) cells the screen displays the internal resistance of the batteries and users can also control the charging current at the beginning of charge.
CS Electronic have released their new Space X1 charger which was made for use with small to medium sized batteries with a focus on ease of use. By directly plugging the balancer cable into the X1 charger it eliminates the need for the usual charging cable. The battery size and cell number is also selected automatically by the charger, with all the details displayed clearly on the device’s screen. The AC/DC charger can handle up to 4S batteries with a maximum 3A output making it perfect for transmitter and receiver packs as well as small cell car batteries.

Marka Racing have introduced their new 7200mAh 100C 2S 7.4V LiPo battery. Suitable for stock and modified classes, it comes in a black hard-case and weighs in at 310 grams. Suitable for use in 1/10th 2WD and 4WD buggies as well as touring and formula cars.

Muchmore Racing have announced that current 3-time IFMAR ISTC and 2014 IFMAR 1:12 World Champion Marc Rheinard has renewed his contract with the Asian firm and that he will be also using Muchmore’s line of competition batteries from 2015, having used Thunder Power batteries for several years now. Marc, who already uses Muchmore’s electric brushless motors, speed controllers and chargers, had the following to say about the deal:

New from CS-Electronic and made for the use in large scale vehicles is the 7.4V 3100mAh Heavy Duty receiver battery pack. German company CS-Electronic introduce the CS-Drift 7.4V 5000mA 35C LiPo battery pack. Built from high-quality cells that use Silver Protect technology for improved security the battery is good for up to 70C burst discharge rates, making it ideal not only for RC drift applications. The design of the hardcase allows to access the 4mm tube-type connectors from the top and bottom side and the battery comes with a pre-wired charging and balancing harness.

Muchmore introduce the Fleta ZX 3.5T 1:12 World Champion Spec brushless motor built to the same specifications as used by Marc Rheinard to win the 2014 IFMAR 1/12th scale World Championship title. Housed in a full aluminium can with large airflow holes the motor features a redesigned stator and 12.0mm rotor to make for higher RPM, a super-mild power curve and a low running temperature. The rear timing end plate sports a specially designed protector for the sensor wire and connector that saves all parts from harm.
