Trinity introduce the D4 brushless motor

Following much speculation about the follow-up motor of the successful D3.5, Trinity now officially introduce the D4 electric brushless motor. Designed to meet all ROAR specifications the motor is based around a new stator design and a 3-piece heatsink can with an updated endbell for improved bearing alignment and increased airflow for lower operating temperatures. Other features include windings made from certified pure copper wire, grade 5 ball bearings, and new larger silver-plated solder tabs. The motor is 8 grams lighter than the previous D3.5 and available as 2.5T to 9.5T modified and 13.5T and 17.5T ROAR Spec stock motors. The motors should hit stores by the time you read this.

Hobbico introduce the TrakPower 5800mAh square LiPo battery pack. Build from 90C cells the battery mimics the dimensions of a side-by-side saddle battery pack making it ideal for many 2WD and 4WD trucks and buggies. The pack features a black-colour protective hardcase and 5mm bullet-type connector tubes. Includes come also a pre-wired balancer lead and bullet connectors.

Reedy 2100mAh LiPo RX/TX battery pack

Team Associated introduce the new Reedy 2100mAh LiPo battery pack for receiver and transmitter applications. Measuring 86.5×30.5×16.5mm the pack mimics the dimensions of a NiMH straight pack and it is usable as receiver battery pack in nitro on-road and off-road cars as well as to power transmitters that accept 2S 7.4V batteries.

GForce Hyper Booster capacitor units

GForce introduce the Hyper Booster capacitor units for 1S and 2S usage. Coming in a black or blue anodised aluminium case for looks, protection and added cooling surface the add-on modules offer a capacity of 250,000µF, they measure 38×22.1x11mm and weight in at 18g.

Scorpion RS-3420 brushless motors – Full details

Scorpion Power Systems RS-3420 brushless motors

Following a brief introduction some days ago Scorpion Power Systems now have full details on their RS-3420 electric brushless motor available. Being a first for the company that is well known for its aircraft brushless motors, the motor sports some interesting features such as a patented screw-type rotor surface for increase flux density and maximised cooling. Also no plastic inserts are used to achieve maximum copper fill for the stator windings while high grade silicone steel and high purity copper wire allow for a high flux density and a minimal internal resistance. Other features include a CNC-machined 7075 heatsink can, sleeve-protected magnets, and a built-in temperature sensor for on-track monitoring with future Scorpion ESCs. The motors are built to comply with the IFMAR rules and are available as 4.5T to 8.5T modified and 10.5T to 21.5T stock variant.

Reedy 5000mAh 65C 7.4V LiPo battery pack

Reedy introduce their latest competition LiPo battery pack in the form of this 7.4V 5000mAh 65C pack. Built from lightweight high-performance cells the pack weights in at only 276g allowing to achieve a better left-to-right balance while offering the needed voltage for stock racing and modified classes alike. The hardcase pack sports standard 139x46x25mm dimensions, it is 2C chargeable and makes use of 4mm bullet-type connector tubes.

Reedy 5200mAh 50C square LiPo battery pack

After introducing the first “square” LiPo battery pack with the 5700mAh 65C version, Reedy now also offers a 5200mAh 50C variant. Built from lighter and slightly lower power 50C cells the pack is ideally suited for all applications that call for easier car control. Additionally, the reduced weight of of 261g makes it easier to attain the minimum legal weight while aiding in balancing front/rear weight distribution. The pack is equipped with dual 4mm sockets and a 2mm balance port.
