Reedy 5S 18.5V & 6S 22.2V Competition LiPo packs

Reedy’s hard case 40C 1:8 LiPo batteries are now available in 5S 3800mAh 18.5V and 6S 3100mAh 22.2V configurations for those who want the added efficiency that higher voltage delivers. These batteries fit perfectly in Team Associated’s RC8e, SC8e, and RC8Te and are suitable for use in many other chassis’. For minimum resistance and maximum power delivery, 10-gauge wires are pre-wired and ready to add your favorite connector. Balancing harness makes balancing and balance charging simple and convenient while a hard case helps protect the batteries from crash damage.

Castle Creations Mamba Max Pro brushless ESC

Castle Creations have announced the release of their new Mamba Max Pro brushless ESC featuring ‘Smartsense’ operation. Smartsense brings the best of sensored and sensorless together to create the ideal controller for serious 1/10th scale enthusiasts. It uses the motor sensors to start the motor and then it switches over to Castle’s ultra powerful and efficient dynamic sensorless mode which boosts motor efficiency. Simply put, you’ll get more power and less heat from your motor. Castle’s high energy advanced timing allows users to electronically advance their sensored motor’s timing to extreme settings. This can often yield just that extra bit of power needed to win the race. Operating at up to 6S, the Mamba Max Pro can handle nearly twice the power of the market standard Mamba Max.

Elite RC Electric motor mount

Elite RC have announced the release of their new unique electric motor mount for brushless conversions of gas cars, this one for the MP9. The slide and lock design means there are no gaps and so the motor block has full contact with the mount and so it will not bulge, giving a perfect mesh every time. Machined from solid aircraft grade 7075 T7 aluminium it is very rigid and can handle all the torque from the motor, but despite its strength it weighs in at little over 2oz. Another unique design feature is the 5x10mm bearing built into the motor block for extra shaft support and less flex, which reduces stress on the front motor bearing. Finally its 1 screw lock design clamps the sliding contacts together merging the two parts together to form 1 sold mount. Elite RC have also mentioned that they will soon release a fully adjustable battery tray as well as their own electric chassis.

Lipotech XR series Brushless motors

New from Italian company Lipotech is their XR series of sensored brushless motors. Available in the usual range of winds, from 3.5T to 21.5T, each motor comes supplied with sensor cable and 2 additional sintered rotors in 12.48mm and 13mm diameters, to help you tune the performance.

The Peak Racing brand returns

Kyosho America have announced the return of Peak Racing to North/South America. After a 2 year break they our now ready to re-launch the Peak Racing brand of World Championship winning power accessories. Peak Racing was founded decades ago by racers for racers and Peak Racing will continue this World Championship winning tradition. All Peak Racing products will be designed and tested in the USA by many of the previous Peak Racing staff assuring all of your electric racing needs will be met and surpassed. Kyosho America will begin taking orders and shipping all new Peak Racing products beginning Oct. 30 2009. The first month will include an ever growing battery line, followed up with electric motors, chargers and other electronics with the full launch line shipping by the end of this Holiday season.

UPDATE: Peak Racing founder Rick Hohwart wanted to clarify to us (see comments below) that he is not involved in the revival of the brand he started back in 1985, and subsequently left in 2007.

Due to their design, the motor has better heat-dissipation and air-flow, resulting in a lot cooler running temperature for your motor which helps improves consistency and efficiency, resulting in better power even to the last lap. The lightweight front housing improves air-flow for a lower running temperature, as well as lowering the overall weight of your motor, while the aluminium end cover sports cooling fins to improve the heat dissipation significantly compared to the standard plastic version.

Kyosho Inferno series Brushless conversion kit

Kyosho America have introduced the new Inferno series brushless conversion kit that will convert any Inferno series product, regardless of its class e.g. on-road or off-road. Included in the kit is all of the hardware including a universal one-piece molded plastic radio box and battery tray which is designed to fit either 7.4V LiPo packs or 7.2V NiMh packs. Also included is an easy mesh machined aluminum motor mount that uses a single top screw design that can be easily accessed for perfect gear mesh adjustment.
