Shown for the first time back in the beginning of 2008, LRP have finally released the NEXXT 4X Sensorless System. This super lightweight sensorless brushless and brushed speedo uses revolutionary software to provides sensored drivability even without hall sensors. Providing 8 power profiles for finest adjustments to all classes and motors this waterproof speedo sets new benchmarks in drivability and reliability. This ultra small speed controller can either be used in 1/18 scale cars without motor limit or even in 1/10 scale cars down to 7,5T.

Speedzone Prototype 1 cell LiPo pack

Speedzone have sent us this prototype image of their upcoming 1 cell LiPo pack, ideal for 1/12 scale and WGT. Specs will be 3.7v, 5000mAh rated at 40C and taking a new approach, this pack will feature in-built bullet connectors, what they claim is a first for a 1/12th scale LiPo pack. General availability is set for late July.

Etronix have added a new DC only Power Pal to their line up, which saw the brand’s first charger, an AC/DC version, launched back in April. Small and compact this 12V DC version features a microprocessor controlled high performance charger, discharger, cycler for NiCd/NiMH/Lithium/Pb batteries along with an integrated cell voltage balancer. Other features include a temperature sensor option and an integrated Lithium battery balancer.

Team Wave RB handheld programmer

New for the Team Wave RB series of brushless/brushed electronic speed controllers is the RB handheld programmer, which provides and simple and quick way to change profiles and also update the firmware. Easy to use, simply plug the ESC receiver connection into the unit and switch on the ESC. A table of parameters on the right of the unit will guide you through the different settings and when you have chosen what you want you can press the send button which will update the ESC. The programmer also has a built in USB connector, for finer tuning of the settings.

Alien Power have released yet more new products with the announcement of a new Warp Micro ESC and Warp 2.0 brushless motors. The lightweight Warp Micro ESC comes in at only 30 grams , has a small footprint and works with sensorless brushless motors. Able to handle 4-9 cell NiMh & NiCd or 2-3 cell LiPo packs, it has a normal output of 25A peaking at 90A. The 2nd Generation Warp brushless motors are the results of testing from their team, and feature a newly designed black casing, optimized Internal cooling and a new 12mm sintered rotor. Available in a wide range of winds from 3.0T to 10.5T as well as ROAR spec 10.5T, 13.5T, 17.5T and 21.5T.

This credit card sized program card uses an all new user friendly interface and because of its compact size can be easily brought with you to the track. It makes setting up your speedo super easy and does away with confusing setup methods like counting the number of beeps. Also new for the RDX PHI ’09 are the Team Corally low center of gravity brass balancing weights in 25 grams and 30 grams for standard chassis and the US LiPo chassis.

Futaba has announced the release of 2 new brushless products, the first being the new MC950CR brushless ESC. Extremely adjustable, with the ability to change parameters through your transmitter, it has large, isolated solder posts for quicker, safer wire attachment and features an aluminium case and comes with heat sink with removable fan. The other new item is a range of brushless servos, which claim to offer 30% faster response time, 500% more life time and all 16 types feature dual bearings and strong samarium cobalt magnets for smoother operation.
