Super Cup Championship Series Rd4 report

2WDModSuper Cup Championship Series Rd4 reportified

The traveling Super Cup Championship Series made its way to the Coral Springs R/C Car Club for round 4 of the most prestigious off-road series in the state of Florida. Home to the 2008 and 2011 Clash events, the club always provides a great racing layout and surface condition making it one of the most desirable locations for racing. Some inclement weather rolled in on Thursday and Friday, soaking the track, creating a very muddy surface, forcing the racing series to postpone from the normally scheduled Saturday race to a Sunday event.  As usual the club banded together on Saturday and cleaned and prepped the track for racing and with a little sunshine on Saturday afternoon drivers were ready to hit the track for a little prerace practice. Sunday morning registration wrapped up around 8:45am and racing started at 9:30 on the dot with 180+ entries stacking the pit area. Qualifying started with the 2wd stock class on the relatively loose / slick surface and then moved into the 2wd modified class. A light amount of sun started to peak out and the track gained grip immediately sending drivers throughout the pits searching for the perfect tire.

Bultynck & Vekemans win at Belgian Cup Race

The Belgian Cup Race took place in Héron and it was Olivier Bultynck who took TQ in front of Manuel Henriet and Yves Zoma. The touring car modified class saw a fast and tight race between Olivier and Manual with the latter taking the win with former 200mm nitro racer Maxim Claes, taking the third spot. The second final had Olivier taking a close win as Manuel never was in the position for a clean overtake. Maxim again took a third place. 2013 JConcepts Dirt Invert – Announcement

2013 JConcepts Dirt Invert – Announcement

The 2013 Dirt Invert is brought to you by JConcepts and hosted by the One Hobbies off-road track in Peoria, Arizona. The main event format is unique and offers something different for the racers. Triple mains will be used for the A-main drivers and single extended mains with bump-ups will be used for all other mains. The Invert, something developed by Brian Kinwald and the JConcepts team, will challenge racers by changing the starting order based on the finishing order in the previous main. It’s simple, start your first A-main where you qualified and the mains after will be started in the inverse order of how you finished the main before. Points from all three mains will be used to determine the overall winner so performance in each main is important. Speed and strategy is a must and the driver must keep it cool to score the best finish possible in each main. The invert format is developed and endorsed by IFMAR World Champion Brian “Dirt” Kinwald. Registration is available on RCsignup.com.
