Jessica Palsson wins at Middle Swedish Cup Rd1

The opening round of the Middle Swedish Cup was hosted by the Skövde MK club this past weekend. In the Nitro Buggy class, that attracted nearly 50 entries, it was swift Jessica Palsson (Agama/Bullitt/AKA) with the overall TQ from Pontus Larsson (Serpent/Performa/Sweep) in 2nd and Emil Magnusson (Kyosho/O.S./AKA) in 3rd. The 30-minute A-main event saw Jessica taking the win with a one-lap margin from Pontus Larsson in 2nd while Emil Magnusson came in 3rd, another 15 seconds behind. Kristian Johansson (HB Racing/O.S./Sweep) and Nils Gustafsson (Team Associated/O.S./Sweep) rounded out the top 5.

William White wins at Cork Summer Champs Rd5

The Irish Cork Radio Control Car Club hosted round 5 of their Summer Championship Series this past weekend. In Nitro Buggy it was William White who would walk away with the silverware after bumping up from the B-main. A lap behind William it was Jimmy Chan on the runner-up spot as Colin Whelan came in 3rd overall, some four seconds behind William.

Max Götzl sweeps Hungarian Off-road Nats Rd6

Round 6 of the Hungarian Off-road Nationals was hosted by the Homokbödöge Sport Klub last weekend. Xray’s Max Götzl was able to TQ all qualifying rounds in both 1/8th Nitro and E-Buggy, to take the overall TQs in both classes. Antonia Kovalzski would qualify 2nd and Daniel Schweizer 3rd in E-Nuggy, while Daniel Schweizer and Julius Siklodi came in 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Nitro class. In the 30-minute Nitro A-main Max would continue to dominate, taking the win from tone to tone, leaving behind Xray teammate, Pál Vasvári 2nd and HB Racing’s Julius Siklodi in 3rd.

Nikko Haheim takes Norwegian EP On-road title

The Norwegian Electric On-road Nationals were held at the Stavanger Modellbilklubb club this past weekend. In the Touring Modified class, that attracted nearly 30 entries, it was Nikko Haheim with the overall TQ after winning four of the five qualifying rounds. Mathias Nedrebo, who took a single round TQ came in 2nd overall. The opening A-main saw Nikko with a DNF while Mathias walked away with the win from Oskar Fjeld in 2nd, however with wins in A2 and A3 Nikko put things straight and grabbed the overall title from Mathias Nedrebo in 2nd and Oskar Fjeld in 3rd, making it an Xray podium lock-out.

Marcus Kaerup doubles at DRCMU EP Off-road Nats Rd2

The second round of the Danish DRCMU 1/10th Electric Off-road Nationals was held at the Black Track Nysum facilities this past weekend. In the 2WD Mod Buggy class it was Team Associated’s Marcus Kaerup with the overall TQ from Yokomo’s Frederik Hovgaard in 2nd. The triple A-mains saw young Marcus walking away with the wins in A1 and A2 for an early overall victory as Jonas Kaerup (Team Associated) cemented his overall runner-up position with a win in A3. Frederik Hovgaard had to settle for 3rd overall.

Kevin Nielsen wins at DASU On-road Nats Rd3

Round 3 of the Danish DASU On-road Nationals was hosted by the Midtsjællands Mini Racing Club this past weekend in Touring Super Stock, Stock and FWD classes. Kevin Nielsen would take the TQ in the Super Stock class from Frederik Broløs Mikkelsen and Søren Boy Holst. In the finals Kevin would take the win from Frederik in A1 and A2 as the two swapped positions in A3 meaning Kevin would walk away with the overall victory from Frederik in 2nd while Patrick Danielsen came in 3rd overall to round out the podium result.

Elliott Boots wins Nemo Raceway Race Three

The third Nemo Raceway Race was held this past weekend with once again some of the UK’s fastest 1/8th off-road racers in attendance. In the Nitro Buggy class it was SWorkz’s Elliott Boots with the overall TQ and he also came out swinging in the 20-minute A-main event, leaving behind HB Racing’s Graham Alsop in 2nd, some 19 seconds behind. Agama’s Lee Martin would round out the top 3 result another five seconds back as Lewis Jones and Jack Hirst came in 4th and 5th respectively. Jamie Hall, Kevin Brunsden and Richard Barton completed the 8-car main result.

JJ Wang wins KO Propo Nitro Sedan Race

With the 200mm worlds championship cancelled due to the global pandemic, Steel City Raceway hosted the KO Propi Race in Fontana, California last weekend. Mugen Seiki’s JJ Wang would win the nitro sedan class. Due to travel restrictions, JJ’s long-time mechanic Ai was not able to travel to assist at this major nitro event in America. Mugen USA team manager Brian Thomas stepped up and assisted JJ to take the win over Capricorn’s Paolo Morganti. Serpent’s Bryce Butterfield completed the podium in third place.
