The EPJB electric on-road race was held at the Speedway Track in Hutan Bandar Mutiara Rini Johor, Malaysia last weekend. The opening round of the series attracted mostly local racers but also guests from Kuala Lumpur and in the Touring 13.5T Boosted class it was Xray racer Shahrin with the win from Norazam (Xray) on the runner-up spot and Arman Ahmad (Xray) who rounded out the top 3 results.

A round of the Czech HIT Winter Racing Series was held recently and in the Touring Modified class the race for the win was on between the trio of Matěj Šulc, Oliver Havránek and Kuba Šimurda. Qualifications weren’t decided till the end as only the best round would count towards the starting grid and only Oliver was able to score faultless runs to take the overall TQ. With the grip coming up the finals were challenging for everyone as it was hard to make a clean run but with some bad luck for Kuba and Matej, Oliver would score an overall win from Kuba 2nd and Matej 3rd.

Round 1 of the Xray Racing Series Greece was held at the Fanatix Racing Track near Athens recently. In Touring Modified class Nikolakopoulos took the pole position and won all final legs with 2017 XRS champion, Diamadis, coming in 2nd after some nice battles with 3rd placed Kidis.

The 2018 Malaysian Electric National League was held recently and it was Serpent driver Mizan with the TQ and win in the 1/10th 4WD Buggy class. SWorkz’s Hakeem came in 2nd from Yokomo driver Danny K who rounded out the podium in 3rd.

JConcepts is well-known for their popular race events such as the Indoor National Series or the Super Cup Championship Series. Now the Florida-based company has released a quick list of all the 2018 JConcepts events, making it easier to plan race dates accordingly. The third round of the Swiss SITCC series was held in Geneva recently and it was HB Racing’s Kevin Zwahlen who walked away with the day’s win. Kevin would start from the pole position into the triple mains with Cham Dassanayake and Briac Berthoud on P2 and P3. After the finals however it was Arnauf Buffat who obtained the runner-up spot after some setup changes allowed him to challenge the other front runners. The overall top 3 result was rounded out by Briac Berthoud in 3rd.

RMV Deutschland have announced the revival of the famous Nitrocross Cup for 2018. The opening round of the 2-race series will be held on the weekend of the 27th of May at the fast MC Welden club track in the south of Germany with round 2 taking place at the RCCC Coesfeld club near the German-Dutch border at a later date that has yet to be confirmed. The races are open exclusively to Mugen and Serpent drivers who will battle it out in 1/8th Nitro Buggy and Truggy classes. More information (in German language) can be found here.
The Korean Yokomo Championship was held last weekend and it was Serpent’s Jeon Hanyoung with the win in both the 2WD and 4WD Buggy classes. The Yokomo duo of Sin Minsu and Woo Hongmin would come in 2nd and 3rd in the 2WD class while the wheeler podium was rounded out by TLR’s Han Suman and Yokomo’s Si Minsu.
