The XRS Austria Off-road event will take place on the weekend of the 3rd of December in Leopoldsdorf im Marchfelde. The event will see 2WD Modified, 4WD Modified and 2WD Modified Truck racing and more information as well as sign-up is available here.
River Rat Raceway in Palatka, Florida recently held an 1/8th Buggy race and in the E-Buggy class it was Kayla Espinel with the win in the A-main. Blake Raulerson, coming from the 3 spot on the grid, came in 2nd as Earl Bersamin finished the day in 3rd place.

The 3-race Swedish National 1/10th Off-road Cup concluded recently and it was Xray’s Alexander Landen who walked away with the overall win in the 4WD class. With the fourth and final round had to be cancelled due to the weather, Alex had wrapped up a back-to-back championship already after round two as the series saw one drop-out round. Team Associated’s Elias Johansson ended the series on the 2 spot from Wilhelm Skjöldebrand (Team Associated) 3rd.
HotRace Tyres have announced the inaugural HotRace Buggy Cup for the 1st to 3rd of June 2018. The race will be held at the Balocco track and it goes in the tradition of the famous HotRace on-road event, thus offering a lot to do and make besides just racing. The race will be held in Nitro Buggy Invitational, Nitro Buggy and Electric Buggy classes and it kicks off on Friday with free practice and a happy hour on Friday evening and it concludes on Sunday with the final qualifiers and finals. The final round of the Singapore-based Urban Touring Series was held this past weekend. Championship points leader, Dominic Quek (Xray), returned to the action, and he would be challenged by a larger turnout for the highly anticipated final round of the year-long 10-round series. While many were anticipating Dominic to dominate the event, the results of the controlled practice indicated the possibility of an upset. Running a new set of tyres, Dominic struggled to put in three fast laps, losing out the top seed position to Xray team-mate, Hasron Robana, who was faster by two-tenths over three laps. When qualifying started however, Dominic showed that he had resolved his early troubles by sweeping Q1 and Q2 by a lap each over his competitors to wrap up an early TQ. Qualifying 2nd was Hasron, with Joe Hwee (Schumacher) in 3rd.

The 2017 edition of the Northwest Championship Tour NCT proved that outdoor off-road racing is alive and well in the Pacific NW. The six race series visited six different tracks all across the region and drew an average of 296 entries per event. The NCT utilizes a best four out of six format and in Nitro Buggy Keith Hadley had a great season by taking three class wins and finishing on the podium in each of the six rounds.
Xray have announced the dates, venues and rules for the XRS Tour Italy 2018. The 3-race series kicks off at MiniRace Casoria on the 19th of November and will conclude at the T5 Roma track on the 8th of April. Classes run will include Touring Modified, Touring Stock 13.5T and 17.5T as well as Formula and 1/12th Pan Car. More information (in Italian language) and sign-up are available here.
Round 2 of the Rebels Race was held in Trebešín, Prague last weekend. The very technical track was laid out on ETS carpet and one or the other driver had his problems to tackle the challenging circuit. In Touring Modified 31 entries made for competitive racing and after the four qualifiers it was Michal Blahovský who came out on top in front of Petr Grof and Matěj Šulc. After the finals things had mixed up a bit as Matěj Šulc, with a 1st and 2nd place finish took the win from Michal with a 1st and 3rd place while Petr had to settle for 3rd in the tie-breaker.
