The qualifying had Kyle Spiteri, reigning the Maltese champion, taking the TQ in both the Nitro Buggy and Truggy classes. In the Buggy main Kyle then had to settle for 2nd place as his team mate and 2013 champion Dillon Cassar drove an almost faultless race from 2nd on the grid to take the win. With Dillon’s victory, this year’s buggy title will go to the wire and will now be decided in the 6th and final round. Whoever wins between these two drivers will take the 2015 Buggy title. As for round 5 of the championship, Chris Zahra finished in the 3rd spot.

1/8th On-road European Championship B – Report

1/8th On-road European Championship B – Report

This past weekend the 1/8th Nitro On-road European Championships B were held at the RME Lamberto Collari track in Cassino, Italy which is known for its somewhat old school layout and famous for its hospitality and restaurant. On this track also live steaming was first introduced to RC some years ago by a gentleman called Gianluca Decina and long before EFRA started their own service. Working in ICT and very handy with video Gianluca was the first to offer streaming around the year 2006 to 2008 during one of the EFRA events. Unfortunately this year’s event did not attract a lot of entries. It seems that drivers are making choices nowadays and in this case the majority made the choice to visit the EC-A later in the year instead of the B championship.

The new company, which has been set-up by Indonesian racer Kenji Taira, already has fellow Italian racer Carmine Raiola involved with the fifth place finisher at the last Worlds having done a lot of the early development work on the project alongside Japanese racer Masao Tanaka.
