Elliott Boots renews with Kyosho

Kyosho announce the 2-year contract renewal with Elliott Boots through to 2016. Continuing as a full factory driver Elliott, who recently also re-signed his contract with engine sponsor Reds Racing, will attend at the BRCA 1/10th nationals and the 1/8th Rallycross national series, as well as all major international races including Euros and World Championships.

Shin Adachi joins SWorkz nitro team

SWorkz announce the signing of Japanese frontrunner Shin Adachi to their nitro racing team. Shin will be racing the national nitro series in 2015, starting his new endeavour in Pattaya this coming weekend joining fellow SWorkz racer Atsushi Hara. Shin said “I am very excited to be given this chance to race with SWorkz. Thank you SWorkz and Scott. I will do my best”

Rino Lino doubles at Mexican Capricorn Cup

The Mexican Capricorn Cup was held in Merida, Mexico with drivers from all over the country attending. Backed by the support of both the city of Merida and the local media the race attracted a good amount of drivers. Qualifying in the Nitro 200mm Sedan and Electric Touring classes was dominated by Rino Lino who would also come out successful in the mains of both classes. In the Sedan class it was Luis Hidalgo who grabbed the runner-up spot while Manual Ortiz completed the podium in 3rd.

Adrian Castro wins at CABT Championship Rd4

The 4th round of the Argentinian CABT Championship was held last weekend with around 80 drivers from all over the country in attendance. The Nitro Buggy A-main had Adrian Castro taking the win from Agustin Cutini. Avaro Colombo rounded out the podium in 3rd.

Aaron Stringer wins Truggy at Queensland State Titles

Around 100 drivers attended the recent Queensland State Titles held at the Logan Off Road Club in Brisbane, the same venue that hosted the Australian National Titles for 2014. Reds Racing’s Aaron Stringer suffered from missing the practice sessions and some of the qualifiers due to work commitments but come the 45 minute Truggy A-main Aaron got a great start and was in 2nd place by the 2nd lap, after coming from 8th on the grid. After a good tussle with SWorkz team driver Shane Freiberg, Aaron pulled away and never lost the lead winning by 2 laps in the 45min A-Main. Later the Buggy A-Main was the last race of the day and what a race it was, the lead changed a few times but in the end Aaron took a 2nd place behind Kyle McBride to cap off a great weekend.

Manuel Dressler wins Paraguay National Champs

Manuel Dressler wins Paraguay National Champs

The 2nd place at the recent 4th and final round of the Paraguay National Championship held in Asuncion was enough to hand Serpent’s Manual Dressler the 2014 Nitro Buggy Championship title. Teammate Marcelo Garcete came in 2nd while Michael Mende rounded out the all-Serpent podium in 3rd.

Talavera wins at Paraguay national champs Rd4

The 4th and final round of the Paraguay Nationals Championship was held this past weekend following events in Hohenau, Captain Meza, and Ciudad del Este. The race format saw two round of 10 minute qualifying followed by 30 minute semis and a 45 minute main final. At the end Marcelo Garcete Talavera came out successful in front of his Serpent teammate Manuel Dressler.

Tessmann & Savoya win at Las Vegas Opening Race

Tessmann & Savoya win at RC Tracks Las Vegas Opening Race

This past weekend saw the Opening Race at the RC Tracks Las Vegas venue, home of the 2016 1/8th Offroad Worlds. The 1/8th Nitro Buggy class saw HB’s Ty Tessmann taking the win in the A-main from his newly signed teammate Renaud Savoya who finished only 5 seconds down on Ty after being held off by traffic. Serpent’s Mike Truhe rounded out the podium in 3rd. Dylan Rodriquez and Cody King came in 4th and 5th respectively. The Nitro Truggy class then was a bit of relief for Reno as took the win in the A-main from Mike Truhe.
