Mibosport Cup Rd3 – Report

The third round of the 2019/20 Mibosport Cup was held last weekend at its usual venue, the Hotel Sport in Hrotovice, Czech Republic. The event marked the season climax and the final round of this year with everyone being in Christmas mood already. Getting to the venue was less of a fun affair due to icy road conditions on Friday, this however did not affect action on the track as more than 200 drivers from as far as the UK and Denmark found their way to the Czech Republic. Both the on-road and off-road tracks were ready on Friday so the free practice starting at 4 o’clock in the afternoon would kick off with no issues. The grip level was enormous so there was some room to improve setup somehow to adapt to conditions. In the premier on-road class of Touring Car Modified Matej Sulc cemented his role as the pre-event favourite and showed just the rear part of his car. Mads Koue, coming all the way from Denmark, ended up with a nice 2nd place right in front of Kuba Simurda. Brano Panak was another surprise as he finished 4th and Petr Grof completed the top 5.

Völker locks up pole position at EWS International

Ronald Völker has secured the overall TQ position at this year’s EWS International, after setting the fastest times in all three rounds of qualifying held today. Featuring the strongest line up in the event’s eight year history, the Yokomo pilot said he was “surprised” to have topped all three rounds, noting how close the top five were each time out. Making a number of changes throughout the day to his development Yokomo chassis, which features a number of parts in preparation for the BD10 release later this month, Völker said he was still chasing traction and will use tomorrow’s final qualifier to test some final ideas. Fellow German, Marc Rheinard, sits second after Saturday’s racing, the Infinity pilot taking a second and two third places today. Chasing his first win at the event, the Infinity pilot is also using a prototype car as the company looks to prepare it’s next generation of IF14 chassis. Defending race winner, Yannic Prümper sits third overall, with Lucas Urbain and Christopher Krapp rounding out the top five.

JJ Wang confirmed for OneTen Rd5 & 6 in Shanghai

We are very pleased to announce that top US racer JJ Wang has confirmed he will attend the 5th and 6th round of the OneTen Series presented by Infinity in Shanghai on the 4th & 5th of January. Making a return to race at his home track, since moving to California to study the Xray driver has been dominating races on the west coast and so we are looking forward to seeing him back in RCI V2 to go up against the best in the OneTen series, which for this weekend will run alongside the exciting new SGP1 Formula 1 series. Ryan Cavalieri going full SWorkz

SWorkz have announced the addition of Ryan Cavalieri to their 1/10th scale factory team, meaning the former IFMAR World Champion will be fully SWorkz sponsored for the 2020 season. Already campaigning SWorkz 1/8th scale kits since this season, Ryan recently left the Yokomo 1/10th scale squad he was running for only since this season to now campaigning SWorkz vehicles, such as the S35 1/8th scale and S12 and S14 1/10th scale kits, exclusively.

Elliott Boots Shoot Fuel powered for 2020

XTR Racing from Spain have announced the signing of UK’s Elliott Boots to the Shoot Fuel racing team. The SWorkz and Reds Racing factory pilot will be using Shoot Fuel’s Premium Formula fuel for the 2020 season at all national and international races.

RCI V2 to welcome Marc Rheinard for OneTen Rd5 & 6

The organisers of the OneTen Series presented by Infinity are delighted to announce the return of Marc Rheinard to the series for Rd5 & 6 in Shanghai, the German making his series debut at last season’s finale in Hong Kong. With the championship returning to RCI V2 on January 4th & 5th, having also hosted the opening two rounds, the 4x World Champion will be making his first ever trip to Shanghai and the Infinity driver’s first race in mainland China since the World Championships in Beijing in 2016. Making a big impression when he joined the OneTen series at PYC back in March, winning on his debut, this time he will be running indoor on carpet and will be going up against a very on-form teammate Jin Sawada who has won all 4 rounds of the series to date. With the double header running alongside the exciting new SGP1 Formula series, we will announce a number of other big names that will attend in the coming days. Xray Racing Series Grand Final 2020 – Announcement

The 2020 Grand Final of the Xray Racing Series will be held at the world famous Hudy Racing Arena in Trencin, Slovakia from the 29th to 31st of May 2020. Full details will be announced soon but participators can expect a world-class top drivers line up, racing action in many popular classes as well as a Saturday night party.

Diekmann & Tödtmann join Capricorn factory team

Capricorn RC have announced the addition of German nitro on-road frontrunners Thilo Tödtmann and Melvin Diekmann to their line-up of international drivers. Regular ENS and Euros A-finalists the duo tested various platforms and choose Capricorn’s Lab C03 Evo as their weapon of choice for the 2020 season. The duo had the following to say about the deal:

Capricorn and Patrizio Rossi in person always have been very open-minded when it comes to developing new ideas and revolutionary solutions.
