The 2015 season of the RC Lemans Series will kick off on the weekend of April 19th. The 7-race series visits tracks in Belgium, Luxemburg, German and the Netherlands and it is held in Pro10 Modified and Pro10 Stock 10.5T Zero Boost classes. Race 5, hosted by the German Bad Breisig club, also marks the warm-up race for the 25. International German Championship held in September. More information, rules and all dates can be found here.
Orca have announced the signing of 2013 1/10th 4WD Electric Off-Road European Champion Martin Bayer to their off-road team. Martin will race both 1/8th and 1/10th classes using Orca electronics and he had the following to say:
I spend a lot of time to test speed controls, motors and batteries. I try also Orca and I was very happy with all products speed control, motor and batteries. Everything fit to me very quickly and I was very confident. I am very happy to join Team Orca and I will help them to develop off-road product for futures.

David Ronnefalk has ended Day 1 of the Euro Offroad Series in Wels, Austria, at the top of the times sheets with the HB driver setting the fastest 4WD practice time ahead of Lee Martin who earlier in the day topped 2WD practice. Setting his fastest 3-consecutive laps in the second of the controlled practice rounds Ronnefalk would end up 1/10th of a second faster than Martin who set his time in CP1. Behind them Martin Bayer would complete the Top 3, the Xray driver making a substantial improvement on his opening seeding pace in the final practice.

Potentially able to secure his first ever EOS title this weekend, Lee Martin got Round 3 of the championship in Wels, Austria off to an encouraging start as he took his Yokomo to the top of the times in 2WD practice. The British driver, who claimed his first EOS win with defending champions Yokomo at the prevous round in Berlin, set the fastest time over 3-consecutive laps from Schumacher’s Michal Orlowski. Overall it was a good start to the weekend for Yokomo with the strongly represented Japanese manufacturer getting four cars in the Top 10 with Bjorn Prumper completing the Top 3.

Revolution Design Racing Products have announced the signing of Viljami Kutvonen to their team of talented drivers. The Awesomatix factory driver and former LRP TCM Masters class winner is also a regular ETS A-main finisher and from now on he will use RDRP’s line of Ultra tools to prepare his race-winning rides.

1/8th Nitro Buggy World Champion Ty Tessmann has teamed up with VP Racing Fuels for the Silver State and Neo race. Ty will “officially” be using VP PowerMaster’s “Tessmann Edition” fuel at the 2015 Silver State in Las Vegas and at the 2015 NeoX race at Harper Adams University in Newport, Shropshire, England. TKO have announced that Team Losi Racing’s Ryan Maifield has joined their team. TKO products, such as wheel, clutch and engine bearings will be in his race cars and with the rolling out of TKO’s new electric performance product line Ryan will also help with testing and development. Currently Ryan is running TKO products such as ceramic engine bearings, flat & finished diff rings, special RT clutch bearings and wheel bearings, Eureka gear box lube, and Enhanced Rotation bearing lube with more to come.

Following a two month break, the Euro Offroad Series resumes this weekend (March 27-29) with Round 3 of the 1:10 Offroad Championship taking drivers to Wels in Austria. For the second year running the EOS will run as part of Austria’s largest modelsport show ‘Modellbau Wels’ with show organisers this year placing the indoor track in one of the Messe Wels newly constructed entrance halls. In term of the racing action, the event marks a important stage in the championship in terms of determining who the title contenders will be and there will be a lot of attention around the championship’s most successful driver Joern Neumann as the Round 2 4WD winner makes his EOS debut with Serpent.
