Top Spanish driver Sergi Franch has signed with KM Racing Spain distributor MaxiRacing for the upcoming season. Sergi, who won the final round of the Spanish National Championship, will attend the Spanish Nationals as well as the ENS Series along selected regional races in the 1/10th 200mm class.

Following his departure from 1/10th electric sponsor Yokomo Spanish ace Robert Batlle teamed up with Team C to race the company’s 1/10th electric off-road and on-road vehicles. We do not have any details on the deal but we understand that Robert will race 1/10th scale both in the national championships and also at selected international events.

Team Associated and Reedy announce the return of 3-times FEMCA Champion and 4-times Australian National Champion Kyle McBride to the team. Kyle began his racing career with Team Associated in 2006 and since then has established himself as one of the best drivers in the world with two 4th place finishes at the 1:8 IFMAR World Championships along with a victory at the 2014 Silver State Nitro Challenge. Based just outside of Brisbane, Australia, Kyle will be racing the full line of Team Associated off-road vehicles in Australia, Asia, and around the World. Additionally, Kyle will use Reedy power in all of his vehicles while competing in both 1:8 and 1:10 off-road events. This is what Kyle has to say about the deal:

Team Shepherd announces the contract renewal with front running nitro touring car racer Dirk Wischnewski through 2015. Playing an important role for the development of the Velox V10 Pro in 2014, Dirk will continue to share his experience with the German manufacturer and he will attend races such as the German national championship, the EFRA Euros in Turkey as well as all ENS races. Dirk had the following to say:
I would like to thank Patrick and all the Shepherd staff to give me the chance to continue our cooperation in the future. Result wise it was a solid first year with Team Shepherd. I finished second in the overall ENS Championship and had a good chance to win the European championship in Spain. Further we had two Velox V10 in the main final at the World championship what showed that we developed the car in the right direction. All in all I’m very happy with the way we work together and I’m looking forward to having a successful future.

Kyosho announce the 2-year contract renewal with Elliott Boots through to 2016. Continuing as a full factory driver Elliott, who recently also re-signed his contract with engine sponsor Reds Racing, will attend at the BRCA 1/10th nationals and the 1/8th Rallycross national series, as well as all major international races including Euros and World Championships.

SWorkz announce the signing of Japanese frontrunner Shin Adachi to their nitro racing team. Shin will be racing the national nitro series in 2015, starting his new endeavour in Pattaya this coming weekend joining fellow SWorkz racer Atsushi Hara. Shin said “I am very excited to be given this chance to race with SWorkz. Thank you SWorkz and Scott. I will do my best”

Schumacher welcomes young Michal Orlowski to the team. Michal, at only 13 years old, has already made A-mains at the EFRA 1/10th Offroad Euros and the very competitive EOS series. In touring cars Michal is current EFRA junior champion and Euros B finalist. The young gun from Poland will be racing the Schumacher Mi5 Evo, CAT K1 Aero, and Cougar KF, at major international races in Europe, USA, and Asia in 2015. Michal has the following to say:
First of all I would like to say big thanks to Team Durango, for all the support I got from them over last 2 years. Especially to my Team friends Elliott Harper and Jorn Neumann and Gerd Strenge. With Team Durango’s change of direction, my future plans are associated only with big, international races, Euros and especially the 1:10 electric buggy Worlds in Japan in October 2015. Now I start new adventure with Team Schumacher. Great Team, great cars and great people. I’m really excited start racing with the cars, true engineers masterpieces which I could observe at the race tracks and in the pits. The 5th and final round of the Asia On-Road Championship was held over the weekend at the World-famous Yatabe Arena with over 200 participants. In the 1/12th scale class it was Hayato Ishioka who took the TQ with the only 37 laps run in the qualifiers. Ishioka then went on to dominate the A-main also by bringing home the win with his Trinity-powered CRC ride in front of Masatsugo Edo (Yokomo) and Toto Ebukuro (Yokomo).
