Xray have been in touch to invite racers to the series of the Xray Challenge races around the Europe. A full list of confirmed dates can be seen in the calendar below with more events to be added to the calendar throughout the year. Each race will have a separate and detailed leaflet published, so watch the Xray site for more details to come.

This weekend (March 1-3) the Yokomo Euro Touring Series marks its 30th event traveling to the popular Spanish holiday island of Gran Canaria for the first outdoor race of the 2012/13 season. Making its debut on the ETS calendar 12-months ago, the race produced one of the most popular wins of the season when Kyosho’s Christopher Krapp notched up his first victory in the World famous electric touring car championship.

World Champion manufacturer KM Racing have announced the signing of 2-time World Champion Adrien Bertin to their team. The French driver and man behind the Orion engine program will not only race for KM in both 1/10 and 1/8 categories but will also be helping with the development of the H-K1 the upcoming K8—Killer Eight. Adrien had this to say:
I am really pleased to join the World champion brand KM Racing as at first Kenny and Hang are my friends for a long time and it was just a matter of time for us to work together. I know how hard it is to create a new brand and make it successful and when I got the opportunity to help them for the 1/8 on road project, it became evident for me to jump into this new adventure. My experience with the J-max project will help a lot to be quickly competitive! KM’s facility and power of development are just amazing so it will be for sure a great feeling to get ready for the coming World championship and fight for the victory again! Ryan Maifield took a convincing victory at the 14th running of the world famous Dirt Nitro Challenge, the Associated driver winning the blue ribbon Buggy A-main of the Arizona event comfortably over Top Qualifier Jared Tebo and team-mate Ryan Cavalieri. For outgoing champion Ty Tessmann who last night successfully defended his Truggy title a difficult race following a strong start by the factory HB driver left him 6th at the end of the 45-minute encounter.

Defending Dirt Nitro Challenge Champion Ty Tessmann came back from a difficult qualifying at the 14th running of the world famous Arizona event to take victory in Truggy ahead of Kyosho’s Jared Tebo and another driver experiencing a below par qualifying Ryan Maifield, a change of radio transmitters since qualifying bringing both drivers right back into contention. For Top Qualifier Adam Drake a wrong set-up meant he could only manage fourth at the end of the 45-minute encounter.

Fresh from winning the B-Main in nitro Truggy to book himself a spot in the 45 Main, Team Losi Racing’s Billy Fischer bagged the first Pro class win of the 14th running of the world famous Dirt Nitro Challenge taking the victory in the 1:8 eBuggy A-Main from Team Durango’s Ryan Lutz and Kyosho’s Elliot Boots.
