Reno Savoya wins Sweep Challenge

The 2012 Sweep Challenge took place at a small red clay and US-style track in Koraa with nearly 130 drivers from Indonesia, Malaysia and Korea in attendance. Xray and Sweep team driver Reno Savoya, just coming back from the 2012 World warm-up race in Argentina, also made the trip in order to help the local Xray drivers with setup. Reno went to TQ all qualifying rounds and was well prepared for the night time main final but on the tone the Frenchman ran into trouble by crashing too much and being stuck in traffic. This allowed Dani Choi to open a gab at the front of the pack but Reno was pushing and able to take the lead around the 20 minutes mark. Thanks to 10 minutes fuel stints he was able to retain the lead and to win the 40 minutes final very close from lapping the second place finisher.
