In a repeat of his yesterday’s Truggy qualifying Hot Bodies’ Ty Tessmann has TQ’d the opening round of Buggy qualifying at the Dirt Nitro Challenge at the Fear Farm in Phoenix, Arizona. The Canadian set a pace of 11 laps in 7:33.947 to top the first of three rounds by one & a half seconds over TLR’s Adam Drake and World Champion Cody King.

Team Associated’s Ryan Maifield is the Truggy Top Qualifier at the Dirt Nitro Challenge backing up his Q2 performance with another TQ run in Q3 to claim pole position for Saturday’s 1/2 hour final. The final qualifier saw the US Champion set the pace from team-mate Ryan Cavalieri with TLR’s Adam Drake third.

Hot Bodies’ Ty Tessmann has topped the opening round of Truggy qualifying at the Dirt Nitro Challenge in Phoenix, Arizona, the 19-year-old setting the pace by just over half a second from TLR’s Adam Drake with Associated’s Ryan Maifield third. Moving this year to the Fear Farm, this is the 10th running of the signature event of world famous track builder Joey ‘The Dirt’ Christensen with a record 700 entries set to race 4 class on three tracks over the next four days.

Having been forced to miss the opening round of the inaugural TLR/Spektrum Euro Offroad Series presented by Horizon Hobby due to 1:8 Offroad commitments, Tamiya Racing Factory’s Lee Martin has confirmed his entry for the second encounter of the exciting new 1:10 electric offroad series that will take place in Belgium over the weekend of March 9-11. The current back to back European 2WD & British 4WD Champion will go head to head with factory driver line-ups from TLR and Team Durango on the indoor astroturf track in Charleroi where he will be aiming to deny Jörn Neumann a repeat of his domination of the opening race in the Czech Republic last weekend. For 2012 the JConcepts Clash is going Indoors to the Flowood, Indoor R/C park in Flowood, Mississippi on the weekend of September 21-23, 2012. A large building and track operated by super promoter Bubba Barham equals big-time Clash action. The 6th annual event will take place on a newly built indoor race course at the Flowood R/C park and will be specifically built for this annual event. Team Magic and HRC Distribution have announced the signing of German racer Patrick Gassauer to their electric touring car team. Following successful tests with the all new E4RS II chassis, he has chosen this car to race in the 2012 season. Patrick, who has been a finalist in European and National championships, will drive for Shepherd in nitro on road.

Joern Neumann completed the perfect result on the opening weekend of the TLR/Spektrum Euro Offroad Series taking TQ honours and overall victory in both buggy classes at the Czech Republic event along with success in 4WD Short Course. The pre-event favourite started his day of by lifting the 2WD title with victories in Leg 1 & 3 of the A-Main but went on to make even lighter work of the 4WD Buggy class wrapping up the overall win in the second of the three legs.

Joern Neumann will enter the history books as the winner of the opening round of the inaugural Euro Offroad Series after the German ace won the third leg of the A-Main to secure overall victory in the 2WD Buggy class. Starting from pole position, Neumann led from start to finish ahead of Durango team-mate Hupo Honigl helping the team secure the top two steps on the podium of the TLR/Spektrum backed event with young TLR star Oskar Levin completing the Top 3 in the Czech Republic.
