Offroad Meeting Arena - Announcement

Run from the 19th to the 22nd of November, the Offroad Meeting Arena will take place again this year in Italy, at the Arena of Cowboys Guest Ranch of Voghera, near Pavia. The annual indoor race, which was won last year by Hupo Honigl, once again has attracted some of Europe’s best off road racers, who are taking part in the buggy, truggy and brushless classes. Running alongside the ultra competitive racing format that sees the champions crowned on Sunday, the organisers have created a ‘Race of Champions’ race that is made up of the best 16 drivers in buggy, in F1 and F2 class, as well as the best 16 truggy drivers. On Saturday night they will go together in a race that sees the last placed racer eliminated every 5 minutes until the 4th placed driver is eliminated and the podium positions are taken. This, together with all the other racing and activities planned, will make this an event to remember and Red RC will be there to cover all the action Live from the track throughout the weekend.

2010 Snowbird Nationals - Announcement

The organizers of the 2010 Snowbird Nationals were in contact again to let everyone know that the 16th annual ‘Speed Week’ racing schedule is now posted. Featuring the first ‘RC Racing Golf Tournament’ and the first pre-race ‘Pool Party’ with band this year, both help kick off a great week of racing action. The ‘birds are 115 days away and the r/c world is counting down. Over 15 event sponsors are locked in and coming with their teams with more details to be finalized soon. Be sure to reserve your rooms now. Expect classes to be posted any day.

Robitronic Night Race & Race of Champions

Robitronic have the full report from their Night Race and Race of Champions event that was held last weekend in Bischhofsheim close to Frankfurt am Main. The event consisted of a night team race that began at midday on Friday and ended at 5am on Saturday morning with truggy teams and buggy teams taking alternating times on the track to give each team of up to 5 drivers 7 hours on the track. The buggy class was won by the Team Robitronic Losi team that consisted of Joern Neumann, Martin Bayer, Darren Bloomfield and Carsten Keller, while the RC-Car Shop Race Crew was triumphant in the truggy class. On Saturday following the Night race, the Race of Champions got underway with practice followed by qualifying over the next day and finals on Sunday. European Championship podium finisher Martin Bayer did the double in both classes, winning the buggy class from Joern Neumann and Maximilian Cordts, while in the truggy class Maximilian Cordts took the runner up spot with Stefan Petrich in 3rd.

Jared Tebo sweeps 2009 Reedy Truck race

The 2009 Reedy Truck Race of Champions was held this past weekend at Hot Rod Hobbies in Saugus, California. Scorching temperatures hit the San Fernando Valley all week long even reaching triple digits at some points. Kyosho’s Jared Tebo made the trip out to defend his Factory Modified Truck title he won last year. This would also be the first year Tebo would run in the Factory Truggy class with his ST-RR. Jared went on to TQ 3 out of the 4 rounds in the Factory Modified Truck class with his Kyosho RT5 guaranteeing him the top spot on the grid. Tebo went on to win A-Main 1 and A-Main 3 to take the Factory Modified Truck Championship ahead of Ryan Cavalieri in 2nd and Ryan Maifield 3rd.

Andy Lam wins Chinese Mini TC Open race

Atomic RC are reporting on the 2009 Chinese Open race for 4WD mini touring cars that was held recent in Zhong Shan. Andy Lam took the pole position following qualifying and carried through that speed to the final by taking the win, driving the Atomic VM-II. The runner up spot when to Hong Kong driver Derek Hung, while the final podium spot went to China’s Wong Hoi Fung.

Kyosho World Cup Super Final 2009

Last weekend, one of the major highlights of the racing season took place in Slavkov/Czech Rep., close to the Austrian Border. The Kyosho World Cup Final is one of the most exciting and toughest brand trophy event throughout the year in manufacturers cup racing. Now in its 13th year it is the second time after 6 years that the event takes place in Slavkov. After days of rain all teams arrived to perfect weather conditions with am almost dry race track which has been fully refurbished with a new super smooth tarmac on the Auto Bayer Arena. The race track is very exciting to drive and is also the home track of the popular Czech driver Martin Bayer.

European Pan Series – Announcement

European Pan Series - Announcement

The organisers of the Xceed backed European Pan Series, Markus Mobers from Germany & Vesa Yli from Finland, were in contact to announce their new 1/12th scale series. Created to promote racing with pan type cars, this series hopes to allow this category grow bigger and stronger and is a response to the growing popularity of the 1/12 scale class together with its bigger brother World GT. The 2009/10 EPS series kicks of in Germany in October (2-4), before moving to Belgium in November for round 2 and finally to Holland for the season finale in January 2010. 2009/10 Euro Touring Series Season

2009/10 Euro Touring Series Season

Now in its 3rd season the Xenon Racing backed Euro Touring Series is back in force, with a 6 race calendar that sees the championship run all across Europe. The brainchild of Scotty Ernst and Uwe Rheinard the ETS will retain its popular Modified and Pro Stock racing classes and will add a 3rd class for Hobby racers as a great way to participate at a large international event in a cost effective manner. The season will kick off next month (October 16th to 18th) in Kastellaun Germany, and will travel once more to Budapest, Hungary for round 2, before making its debut in the Czech Republic for round 3. The series has its final indoor race of the season in Warsaw, Poland for round 4, before going outdoor, returning the MACH track in the Netherlands for round 5 before having its traditional season finale in Andernach, Germany next summer. Scotty Ernst will be present at all rounds, bringing excitement and international flair while Red RC will be once again reporting live from each race.
