A1 wins for Sobue & Ratheisky

The opening A-main at TRC in Hong Kong has seen a clear win for Infinity driver Akio Sobue. The Japanese driver defended an early attempt by 2nd placed starter Nicholas Lee and was able to build an early lead, which would never be headed. Behind, Nicholas Lee gave chase but made a mistake coming onto the straight and was swallowed by the following pack dropping him to last. The Yokomo driver would get back up to eight but following another mistake pulled up to save his car and tires.

Akio Sobue continues dominance of OneTen Rd2

Akio Sobue is the top qualifier for the Modified class at the 2nd round of the OneTen Series presented by Infinity at RCI V2 in Shanghai. The Japanese driver, who dominated the opening round of the series yesterday, made it 3 from 3 in qualifying as he once again headed the times, this time ahead of team mate Jin Sawada. Jan Ratheisky ensured the top 3 remained consistent as he ended up less than 4 tenths back. The ongoing battle between Gary Huang and Nicholas Koh continued with the Xray pairing separated by half a second, ending the round 4th and 5th respectively.

Sobue heads Rathiesky in OneTen Rd2 opening qualifier

Picking up where he left off in Round 1 of the OneTen series yesterday, Akio Sobue has taken the opening round of qualifying in the Sweep Modified class. Another solid but uneventful run for the Japanese driver he headed Xray star Jan Ratheisky and Infinity team mate Jin Sawada in 3rd, with an impressive run by Nicholas Koh to take 4th while Gary Huang rounded out the top 5. In the Stock class it was Jan who was once again in a class of his own in the 4 minute qualifier, with his closest rival coming again in the form of locally based Japanese driver Masaaki Kyoyi.

OneTen Qualifying Rd1 goes to Sobue

The opening round of qualifying for the Sweep Modified class at the OneTen series presented by Infinity has been completed, the 6 minute run being topped by Japanese driver Akio Sobue. The Infinity driver headed compatriot and team mate Jin Sawada by some 5 seconds with Sobue the only driver to get 35 laps around the technical but short lap at RCI V2. German Xray driver Jan Ratheisky would claim 3rd in front of team mate and newly signed Xray factory driver Gary Huang, with another Xray, that of young Nicholas Koh claiming 5th.

Top Factory names confirmed for OneTen Series Rd1&2

The organisers of the new OneTen Series presented by Infinity are delighted to announce the confirmation of a number of top factory drivers for the opening double header of the championship. Set to be held at the awesome RCI V2 Indoor carpet track in Shanghai on October 6-7, joining the top regional and local racers in attendance will be TITC Champion Akio Sobue who will be joined by his Infinity team mate and current Japanese National Champion Jin Sawada. All the way from Germany, current ETS Pro Stock Champion Jan Ratheisky will be representing Xray in both Mod and Stock and will be joined by his team mate, multiple Chinese National Champion Gary Huang. From Singapore Nicholas Lee, who is no stranger to racing in China, will lead the Yokomo factory effort and all these drivers will be on hand to provide technical support for those in attendance.
