Japanese radio manufacturer Ko Propo has unveiled that it is to collaborate with RC racing legend Atsushi Hara. The Onroad and Offroad World Champion has reinvented his racing career in recent months back travelling to international race events and it is good to see Ko Propo being active in the market again. A collaboration with Hong Kong based 1:10 Touring Car manufacturer Xpress, who produced a limited edition Execute XQ11 featuring parts in Hara’s signature purple colour, proved very successful. A driver who raced his entire professional career using Futaba but has not been sponsorship for some time, on the announcement of the new collaboration between Ko Propo and his Hara Racing brand, the Japanese driver said, ‘I’m hold KO PROPO for the first time in 18 years!’ while Ko Propo stated, ‘Please stay tuned for further developments!’. We will watch this space with interest but it is great to see increased activity from Hara in the industry and on the racing scene.

Team Associated’s Factory Team brand has announced new aluminium hubs for the RC10B7 1:10 2WD Buggy. These hubs are a more durable alternative to the molded hubs and provide more unsprung weight, which can be used as a tuning option. The HRC (High Roll Center) hubs include the secondary bearing bore for the upcoming FT Universals. The HRC hubs allow for higher axle heights, which is great when running on high grip surfaces with smaller diameter tires and lower ride heights. Both standard and HRC variants have colour options of anodised blue or black with secondary machined chamfers and laser-etched FT logo.
As part of their commemoration of the 40th year anniversary of the iconic RC10 buggy that took the world by storm in 1984, Team Associated has released this limited-edition pin. Forty years later, it has not lost its popularity nor its winning touch as the American brand’s flagship 2WD electric buggy iterations continue to win races, having picked up twelve IFMAR World Championships along the way and countless other titles. The pin is available exclusively on RC10.com in limited quantity with a serial number on back, which are randomly distributed, and measures 1.25″ x 1″ (3.18cm x 2.54cm).

Infinity pairing Francesco Tironi and Alexander Johansson claimed the wins at the 2024 Oslo Open Nitro Race held at the impressive Hverven Raceway located south of the Norwegian Capital over the weekend. Organised by the Oslo Modellbilklubb, the race attracted a strong international entry and after 4 rounds of qualifying it was Italian Tironi who secured the overall 1:8 TQ honors from Finland’s Teemu Leino, the team-mates recording two TQ runs each. The Serpent of Italian Jonathan Gandin completed the Top 3 ahead of the ARC of Swiss driver Silvio Hachler and Capricorn of Germany’s Thilo Diekmann. In the rain delayed half hour final, Tironi would lead from start to finish, setting the fastest lap of the race to finish almost a lap up on Hachler . With Leino an early retirement Fabian Vernersson completed the podium. In 1:10, it was Viktor Wilck who secured the TQ from Norway’s Tom Erik Haaversen with Johansson P3. A problem for Wlck at the start allowed Haaversen to lead early but it was Johansson who took the win as Haaversen hit issues. Second would got to øyvind Stusdal with Wilck recovering to complete the podium.

New from Schumacher is this Hexagon 3D Flex Bumper for it Mi9 1:10 Electric Touring Car. Weighing in at 10g, the new TPU bumper is primarily for the new Mi9, but will also fit the Mi7 and Mi8. It is designed to give a great fit for the popular Xtreme Twister/Speciale bodyshells. The bumper has a 10mm longer protrusion so gives a better fit for the modern method of forward mounted bodies. No more need for extra bumper foam. The flexible design provides great impact resistance too.
