Jörn Neumann double at 2012 Petit race

JConcepts Team Driver Jörn Neumann competed at the 6th annual Petit race last weekend at Ardent Raceway in the UK. It was 2WD buggy and Pro4 Short Course on Saturday and 4WD buggy on Sunday. Every driver was able to run two rounds of practice and then qualifying got underway with only the fastest time counting. Jörn was able to TQ 2WD with his JConcepts Finnisher equipped Durango DEX210 while in Pro4 Jörn qualified 2nd. The finals were a little chaotic, but in the end Jörn was able to take the win in 2WD buggy and Pro4 short course. On Sunday 4WD qualifying started great, Jörn had really good runs and again the fastest time giving him the TQ spot for the mains. In the finals Jörn started off well but got tangled in traffic and ended up finishing in the 2nd spot behind Durango team mate Hupo Honigl.

Lloyd wins Winter warm up

Silverstone RCMCC hosted the warm up for the British Winter Open Championship a couple of weekends ago. This gave racers the opportunity to get some practice in for the BWOC which is due to take place on the weekend of 11th and 12th February 2012. There was a good turnout of drivers for the 2wd, 4wd and shortcourse classes and they were greeted with a flowing track with a mixture of carpet with slippy sections and some challenging jumps to test the drivers. With Lloyd Storey and Danny McGee taking two round wins each in qualifying out of the fours rounds, Danny took TQ honours in the 2wd class by virtue of the faster overall time.  Lloyd lined up second on the grid with Ellis Stafford in 3rd. A close fought final with some clean racing and Lloyd took the win with his Cougar SV. Tony Truman crossed the line less than a second behind with Danny McGee took 3rd.
