Ogden to race TZO 200 Tires

World Championship 1:8 Buggy Finalist Cole Ogden has announced he will be racing for tyre newcomers TZO 200 Tires. The factory HB Racing driver moves to the new American start-up having previously raced with Italian brand Hotrace and the deal is a significant boost for TZO 200 Tires. Posting the news on his social media, Ogden said, “Excited on the new rubbers for this coming year! I’ve done quite a bit of testing, and I can say I’m pretty stoked on the existing compounds and tread patterns. Happy to work with a hard working dude like Nick Hernandez, who believes in making the best tires. When I first contacted Nick a few months ago, he didn’t hesitate sending me stuff to test, and once hearing his attitude, driven mentality, and some on track testing, it was a wrap. He’s been working hard, and I look forward to representing a brand that is motivated in bringing the best of the best and doing what it takes to make it happen. Thanks for the opportunity and stay tuned, more goodies coming in the near future as well!”.

STRC Traxxas TRX-4M CNC Machined Option Parts

ST Racing Concepts has released CAD images of their upcoming Traxxas TRX-4M CNC Machined aluminium and brass option parts. The upgrades for the new TRX-4M 1:18 Crawler improve both performance and durability with a complete line of high-quality CNC Machined aluminium and brass option parts on offer. These include Aluminium Threaded shock bodies w/threaded collar, lower and upper shock caps, Brass Lower Shock Spring Retainers, Aluminium Front Steering Servo Mount, Brass Front Steering Knuckles, HD Aluminium Steering link set, Brass Front Castor Block and a Brass Diff Cover. STRC plan to have the parts available in early January.

Matsukura hosts 1st Naoto Cup

It is nice to see one of the great drivers of RC racing Naoto Matsukura giving back to the sport that has served him well by hosting the 1st Naoto Cup in his native country of Japan over the weekend. The multiple 1:12 World Champion and both Electric & Nitro Touring Car World Champion, held the race at New Next Rush Circuit in Chiba Prefecture, where he was joined by his mentor and legend of the sport Masami Hirosaka. Masami was instrumental in bringing a very young Naoto onto the international stage as a Yokomo driver. The first of hopefully many Naoto Cup events for years to come, after attending Naoto Cup the 14 time World Champion paid tribute to the now factory Infinity driver.

JConcepts RC8B4 front wing

JConcepts has added this new front wing to its bodies & accessories line-up. A direct fit for Team Associated’s RC8B4 1:8 chassis, the front scoop replaces the front nosecone on the buggy with a front wing design that has shown to produce enhanced steering characteristics. The front scoop includes 2 pieces per package, so a driver has enough to outfit their nitro and e-buggy with the same package. The front scoop can be painted, left clear or frosted for the desired look, fit and finish.

Schumacher CAT L1R

Iconic British brand Schumacher has released a new 1:10 4WD Competition Off Road buggy, the CAT L1R. The new kit brings all the latest developments from the Schumacher international racing team, to make another sensational 4WD buggy. The L1R features improved suspension geometry, lighter weight, better durability, and a new JConcepts bodyshell. The L1 series of buggies have already won the European EOS championship, British BRCA national championship, and the USA ROAR carpet nationals. In prototype form, the CAT L1R has recently achieved some great results including the 2022 British National Championship title, the German National title 2022 along with title success at the Florida Carpet Championship and US Carpet Off Road Championship.

T-works has introduced four new options of Graphite Split Type Front Upper Decks for the Serpent X20 ’23 1:10 Electric Touring Car. Machined from carbon fibre, the different cuts offer specific flex options to adjust the car’s characteristics for different track conditions or driving styles. Schumacher Winter Series Rnd 4 – Report

December 11th would play host to round 4 of the Schumacher Winter Series presented by the Louth Radio Control Car Club. On offer was the 17.5 blinky touring car class and support class, with 50 drivers assembling at the venue in Lincolnshire in the U.K. Plunging temperatures outside but some hot action on track as the racers took on four qualifying rounds before a single legged final. After four rounds the TQ spot went to Alex Brocklebank, his Schumacher mi8 the car to beat all day. Alex would take 3 of the four qualifying rounds to take the top spot. Second on the grid was returning racer Ricky Lee and his Awesomatix, Ricky the only driver to put a TQ round together apart from Alex. Another Schumacher of Daniel Burks would line up third on the grid, from Vulcan rc racer Callum Chapman who would secure fourth. Top lmp racer Adam Mackman would make a return to touring cars with his Schumacher Mi8 and would line up 5th with some consistent runs, and Daniel Leonard would round out the top six and take the final a final spot with his Awesomatix. Daniel would show the pace in the final quaking round to take 2nd in the run.
