Ryan Cavalieri to use Ielasi Tuned engines

Ielasi Tuned have announced the signing of US 1/8th offroad front runner Ryan Cavalieri to their team for the 2022 season and beyond. Ryan, a 4 time World champion and 29 time US National champion, will use Ielasi Tuned nitro engines at all major National and International races. The TLR facto had the following to say about the deal, ‘I’m super excited to be joining Ielasi Tuned engines for 2022. I feel with Daniel’s knowledge and passion for engine building we will have great success together.’

David Ronnefalk joins Awesomatix Factory Team

Awesomatix are very proud to announce the addition of Swedish RC ace and former World Champion David Ronnefalk to their Factory Team. David is well known all around the world for his amazing skills with a transmitter, not only in off road classes. He brings a lot of experience and great spirit with him to further extend the team lineup. They are looking forward to seeing him at the Euro Touring Series events as well as the World Championship. David had the following to say,

I have big things going on in my racing program for 2022 and beyond. My passion for RC in general is big and I’ve always liked to drive touring cars and now with my indoor facility I’ve had the chance to drive more onroad than ever before. It’s with lots of excitement I hereby announce that I will now be a part of the Awesomatix Factory Team. I’m looking forward to attend as many races possible including the World Championships. The ETS in December will be my first race with the car and I’ll be ready to battle.

Jefferies back on top at EWS Rd2

The second round of the Essex Winter Series took place this weekend with another packed out entry featuring all of the top on-road drivers in the UK across the four racing classes. The top-billed Scorpion Modified class saw Olly Jefferies repeat the pole position he had secured at opening event of the season in October, as the Xray driver topped three of the four qualifying rounds. It was only a car failure that prevented a clean sweep as a damaged spur gear in Q2 saw Olly out of the round, allowing Yokomo’s Harley Eldridge to take a win which would ultimately secure her second on the A Final grid. Kyle Branson looked to be the third driver in the mix, the now Tonisport-backed driver took second in every round, to set himself third on the grid. Behind, it was the Capricorn of Alex Thurston who slotted into fourth overall, in front of multi-time UK National Champion Chris Grainger (Awesomatix).

Ginting & Demas win East National YE race

The annual East National Year End Race 2021 was held at East RC Speedway, Jakarta last weekend. All in there were 40 entries which participated in TC Expert Class, TC ProStock Class, Sportman Class and Mini Class. In TC Expert it was Bowie Ginting who started from pole followed by Ridhwan Suteja and Muhammad Izzah. It was a tight race between the front threee driver however the the final result remained unchanged from qualifying as Bowie secured the overall win. Yusuf Demas was dominant from qualifying to the final to secure the overall win in the ProStock class. Chandra Yosef came in 2nd while Benyamin Wiharja took 3rd.

Michael Derderian joins Capricorn team

Capricorn have announced the signing of multiple French National Champion Michael Derderian to their team for next season. The former Xray driver is a 1/10th Nitro specialist and had the following to see about his move to the Italian brand, ‘I want to thank Capricorn Team and Mr Patrizio Rossi for this great opportunity they have offered me, and I can’t wait to start this wonderful experience and I can’t wait to hit the track with my new Lab C04’.

Pelle Culmsee joins the Xray Racing Team

Xray have announced that Danish driver Pelle Culmsee is joining the Xray Racing Team to race the XB8 and XT8 platforms. The former SWorkz driver had the following to say ‘I am very grateful to be a part of the Xray Team. The cars and products have always been top quality and performed at a top level. OfficinaRC X4 lower pivot ball & centre shim screw

Officina RC have presented their new lower 6mm pivot balls in titanium for the new Xray X4. Machined from solid titanium and 100% made in Italy they will offer a 40% weight saving from the original. Thanks to the titanium it will significantly reduce the masses of weight in the outermost point of the car, making it more robust, in a point exposed to shocks. Also new are these centre shim screws with central flange that have been created and designed to guarantee optimal tightening of the shock absorbers by reinforcing the anchor point and at the same time reducing the weight compared to the original ones. Thanks to the support surface in contact with the arm, the centre shim screw prevents the screw from bending.
