The popular Lincolnshire, UK, based Schumacher Winter Series resumed after the Christmas break with Round 4 taking place over the weekend.  In the Contact RC 17.5 class Chris Lovey with his Nosram powered Xray x4 would take TQ at this encounter taking three of the four rounds of qualifying.  1:8 circuit ace Tim Wood would line up second on the grid taking the last round of qualifying with his Mugen, ahead of Alex Brocklebank and his Schumacher.  Alex would tie break with Paul Sleight and his Awesomatix, and Dave Sedgewick also with an Awesomatix.  Daniel Burks would round out the six car a final with his Destiny.  A single legged A-final would see the field away clean.  A bunching of the pack so issues, and as drivers diced for positions mistakes were made.  Lovely would manage to pull a gap, Paul Sleight from 4th on the grid and at the midway point it would seem he was pulling Chris back in.  They would hold station til the end with Chris taking the win.  Daniel Burks would be in a race of his own to this position, with Tim Wood just holding off Dave Sedgewick for 4th and 5th respectably.  Alex Brocklebank would round out the six drivers.

Although he has been using their Noble Pro radio for a number of months already, today FlySky has officially announcement former 1:8 Buggy World Champion David Ronnefalk as its newest team driver.  The Swede is the latest in an impressive line-up of drivers who have joined forced with the ambitious Chinese manufacturer including offroad legend Ryan Maifield and onroad World Champions Marc Rheinard and Ronald Volker.  Over the weekend, both Dakotah Phend, who announced he would no longer be sponsored by Spektrum, and newly crowned 2WD Buggy World Champion Tater Sontag used the Noble Pro at the ‘Clash of Champions’ race at the Hoosier RC Hobbyplex event in Indiana where Phend completed the buggy double.  With most drivers running the radio prior to being announced as team drivers, we expect the FlySky line up to be further expanded in the coming weeks.  Commenting on his latest sponsorship announcement, factory Xray driver Ronnefalk “The FlySky Noble Pro has really impressed on me. Factory Team B74.2 Decoupled Slipper Clutch Kit

New from Factory Team for the Team Associated RC10B74.2 4WD Buggy is this Decoupled Slipper Clutch Conversion Kit which decouples the front drivetrain from the rear drivetrain when off power.  Having the front driveline spinning freely when off power, and on the brakes, greatly reduces the front tire binding and scrubbing on the track surface through a corner.  This allows for more off-power steering without affecting the on-power feel and acceleration that four-wheel drive provides.  The conversion kit comes with everything needed to run the decoupled slipper with spare parts for common wear items are available as well.

RC Atomic MRX 1:28 pan car

1:28 specialist manufacturer RC Atomic is kicking of 2024 with the release of its new MRX pan car series which makes use of “Link-less Rear Pod” design meaning the traditional side links are removed from the car.  The design sees a centre pivot and bearing-supported rear guide rail system introduced with the new system allowing driver to brake harder and accelerate earlier.  This offers greater stability and consistency when braking/accelerating and steering input overlap as the rear pod movement is independent from chassis roll.  This results in car being more consistent and more predictable to drive.  Moreover, you do not have to worry about breaking side links during a race.  One more benefit of Link-less system is you do not have to worry about the battery wire interfering with the side link and makes the car behave strangely.
