Team Cayote Crest 4268 Motors

Team Cayote has announced the return of its Crest 4268 Motors intended for 1:8 use with an expanded range of 7 models.  The electronics brand which is coming up to 2-years since its soft launch at the famous TITC at the start of 2024, is offering the competition spec sensored motors in 1700KV, 1900KV, 2000KV, 2200KV, 2400KV, 2500KV, 2800KV, and 2800KV options.  Additionally Cayote has also released a Motor End Cap Assembly kit for its Crest Modi Series 1:10 motors enabling easy maintenance all in one convenient package.  This complete upgrade kit includes everything you need in the form of a Motor End Cap, a Hall Sensor Board, and 3x Screws (2 for installation, 1 spare).

Cayote motors & batteries for European Stock Champion

Reigning 1:10 Electric Touring Car Spec and 1:8 GT Electric European Champion Adam Izsay completes an all new electronics package with the news that he has joined Team Cayote for 2026.  Last week the Hungarian was confirmed by Czech ESC manufacturer Elceram, and now with Cayote motors and batteries, he emulates fellow Xray racer & full time employ Martin Bayer with his electronics sponsors.  With the announcement Izsay posted, ‘Full fresh electronics package for 2026!  I’m delighted to join Team Cayote for batteries and modified motors to pair up with my Elceram ESCs.  Thank you to Leo, Oscar and everyone for making this possible.  Ready to race at the ETS this weekend.’

Team Cayote adds Bayer to team line-up

Team Cayote has added reigning European 2WD Buggy Champion Martin Bayer to its team line-up.  A driver who has played a key role in the launch of successful Czech ESC manufacturer Elceram, the head of offroad car design at Xray will use motors and batteries from the Cayote having previously represent Sunpadow batteries.  On the announcement, the Czech driver said, ‘I’m proud to officially join Team Cayote as a team driver!  In my cars, I will be using Cayote motors and batteries, and I must say their performance and quality truly impressed me.  Reliability, consistency, and power — exactly what is needed at the highest racing level.  I’m honored to represent Cayote products at races and I’m really looking forward to this new chapter and upcoming challenges on track.  Thank you for the trust and support!’

Jones joins Team Cayote USA

Team Cayote USA has announced the addition of Tyler Jones to its race team.  The 2021 Silver State Pro eBuggy winner and two-time Georgia Peach State Classic Pro Nitro Buggy Champion will be running Team Cayote electronics to power his Sparko eBuggy and with use the company’s recently released X5 Charger as part of his race equipment.  Earlier this year Jones made his international race debut when he travelled to Brisbane, Australia, for Round 3 of the Team Cayote Asian Buggy Championships finishing 3rd overall in eBuggy and 5th in Nitro.

Team Cayote Crest 8 Evo ESC

New from Team Cayote comes their latest speed controller, the Crest 8 Evo ESC.  Optimised for 1:8 Electric Buggy & Truggy use, delivers up to 10% more peak power than the previous generation, the Crest 8 Evo boasts 200A continuous and 1080A peak current.  Featuring next-generation tech it has 37 adjustable settings, giving the user total control from fine-tuning throttle response to optimising performance for any track.  Capacitor Overheat Protection automatically protects against heat damage to ensure long-term reliability while Reverse Polarity Protection safeguard prevents damage from incorrect battery connection.  The ESC also has IP5X Dust Protection helping to keep performance consistent in all track conditions.

Kato secures 2025 Asian Buggy Championships

Infinity’s Kouki Kato has been crowned the Nitro Buggy Champion for the 2025 Team Cayote Asian Buggy Championships.  With the final of the four-round championship, which was due to take place last weekend, called off due to civil unrest in Indonesia, Kato’s Championship was based on the best two from three completed rounds, the Japanese star backing up his popular win at the Philippine Masters with a second placed finish at the rain impacted third round of the series at Pine Hills Dirt Racing in Australia.  The series had earlier opened at the popular Counties RC in New Zealand.  A win at that Pine Hills round was enough to promote Australia’s Alex Bernadzik (Team Associated) to second in the series, with compatriot Caleb Noble (Tekno) wrapping the top three overall, just one point clear of Finland’s Pekko Iivonen (Mayako), with Pekko’s Australian team-mate Jayden Edmunds, winner at the opening round at Counties RC in New Zealand, a close-up fifth.

Team Cayote Crest X Evo

Team Cayote has officially released their all new Crest X Evo speed controller which compared to the Crest X can achieve 5 times higher computing power.  The Crest X EVO is equipped with a high-performance ARM architecture, featuring a 32-bit Cortex-M4 core processor with a clock speed of up to 108MHz.  Enabling faster processing of complex calculations it therefore increasing acceleration and braking performance.  This significant performance boost ensures stronger ability for high-speed response and multi-task controls, as well provides enhanced reliability and precision in high demand power applications.
