ProTek B6.2 & universal chassis protectors

Coming from ProTek are chassis protector sheets for the Team Associated B6.2 and B6.2D buggies as well as a new universal sheet sporting the USA flag. First up is a “thick” pre-cut chassis protective sheet, designed specifically for the Team Associated B6.2 +3mm chassis. It is made from 12mil laminate and backed by an aggressive adhesive vinyl. Each sheet is cut to exact dimensions of the model, and provides a professional look while helping to protect the chassis. Protective sheets are highly recommended for both new and used chassis to resist against scratches and scrapes and prolong the life of the chassis. In addition to protecting the chassis, the stickers provide a slick and smooth chassis surface which helps reduce friction when contacting the race surface. Usable for the standard wheelbase B6.2D is the older spec B6.1 and B6.1D protective sheet that is also available now.

Yokomo BD10 rear aluminium & steel stiffeners

Made for Yokomo’s BD10 mid-motor touring car are two rear chassis stiffeners. Available as lightweight aluminium or heavy steel variant, the cross-shaped stiffeners not only help to adjust the torsional stiffness of the rear chassis area in various ways, the the steel variant also adds a certain weight which can be beneficial in both low and high-grip track conditions, as it can increase traction while also countering traction rolling. The stiffeners are available separately and they are a direct fit.

Xpress XQ10 mid-motor touring car – Coming soon

Coming soon from Xpress is their new XQ10 mid-motor 4WD touring car. In development for some time now, the vehicle builds on the proven XQ1, however split bulkheads and minor changes to the suspension geometry in combination with a pure mid-motor design make for a more neutral handling car that is suitable for a wider range of track conditions thanks to increased overall traction. New features include an adjustable top deck with flex inserts, the car utilises strong plastic parts which use 3.0mm suspension pins on the outside and inside hinge for less play and a more rigid construction, and new material X-rings for the shocks and differential make for smoother operation. Other features include a redesigned steering rack for a more linear and smooth steering reaction, a built-in rear belt tensioner in the motor mount, a lowered bumper foam for the use with modern touring car bodies, and bearing-supported anti-roll bars ensure smoother suspension operation. The kit is rounded out by lowered shocks for an overall lower centre of gravity. The kit is set for a release this February.
