7075.it T4 2020 aluminium & brass optionals

7075 Special Parts from Italy have introduced first option parts for the Xray T4 2020 touring car. First up is a low centre of gravity aluminium main chassis that allows for easy placement of balance weights using single screws. Machined cut-outs enable the racer to position optional brass weights which not only adds to the overall appearance but the weights are also secured in a much safer manner compared to just using tape to securing them to the chassis. Bezerk RC Pro10 rear wheel shims

Coming from Bezerk RC are their new Pro10 wheel shims that allow to adjust the track width of Pro10 1/10th scale pan cars. The Pro10 class demands a lot on an axle that was first designed for a 12th scale car. When using axle spacers to achieve the desired rear track width the spur gear gets moved further away from the bulkhead/bearing and can thus cause premature failure of the spur gear. A concept inspired by Shannon Overson was to move the wheel out instead to keep the spur gear as close as possible to the bulkhead. This set includes a pair of 0.5mm and a pair of 1.0mm carbon shims that can be placed between the wheel hubs and the rim to fine-tune the rear track width without having to adjust axle width.

The first round of qualifying for touring car is complete and it was top seed Bruno Coelho who emerged on top. With the World Champion in a league of his own, 4 seconds behind it was Akio Sobue followed by the Singaporean pairing of Nicholas Lee and Dominic Quek with Viktor Wilck completing the top 5. Commenting on his TQ run, each driver getting 3 rounds today, the Xray driver said ‘it was very good’. Changing back to the base setup they used in CP1 yesterday, and making some further changes including the use of a lightweight body, he said that his T4 2020 was much faster this morning and had more steering. Feeling the track was slightly faster, the sun not showing up so far, Bruno said he will discuss with his mechanic Francesco Martini to discuss what to change ahead of Q2.
