Picco Rebel XL off-road pullstart engine

Kyosho Europe have introduced the new Picco Rebel XL off-road pullstart engine for 1/8th buggies and trucks. The upsized, non-race-legal engine is of a 3-ports design for maximum performance and a smooth power delivery with extra vertical ports making for additional oomph as it is needed for heavy monster trucks and all-purpose bashing. Utilising new 2019/20 materials and machining the European-made power plant offers super long life and durability and it is available now.

Sturdy & Selvaggi win Australian 1/10th Off-road Nats

The 2019 1/10 Jay Leno’s Garage Offroad Australian Nationals were held at the Keilor club in Melbourne, Australia recently. Around 230 entries were received from all around the country for the event, and the club prepared a brand new track layout which was fast and challenging. Mother nature made life difficult with very hot and windy conditions during practice and 2WD day, and unfortunately heavy rain which forced the cancellation of the 4WD and truck classes. In 2WD Modified Chris Sturdy was the defending champ and hot favourite for the title, however in qualifying he was pushed hard by Lachlan Donnelly who took Q3 and was leading much of Q4. Chris was able to take TQ from Lachlan, Jordan Isergin and Lachlan Munday, with Ari Bakla 5th.

Ciccarello doubles at Factory Racing League Rd1

The opening round of the Factory Racing League was held at the Ohio RC Factory in Jeffersonville, Ohio last weekend. In Modified 2WD Buggy it was Paul Ciccarello with the overall TQ and he would also bring home the win in the single 7-minute A-main event from 2nd place qualifier, Brandon Marsh as Matt Cline rounded out the top 3 podium result.

Axon 1/10th TC machined precision rod guides

Coming from Axon and usable for a range of 1/10th touring cars are their new precision machined shock rod guides. The parts ensure an optimised O-ring seal seat for less friction, better sealing and an overall improved shock performance and the guides are usable for Axon’s own High Big Bore and Revoshock dampers as well as Yokomo BD9, Infinity IF14 and Tamiya TRF 419XR kits.

Yoshii & Andres win at NIS season opener

The opening round of the Northwest Indoor Series was held this past weekend at Tacoma RC Raceway. The event attracted over 170 entires and in the premier 2WD Mod Buggy class it was Harley Yoshii (Yokomo/Muchmore) with the overall TQ and also wins in A1 and A3 for the overall win. Runner-up after the qualifiers, Mikey Brown (TLR/Muchmore) won A2 to cement his overall runner-up spot as Jackson Andres (Yokomo/Muchmore) completed the top 3 result.

Anthony Westergaard doubles at JBRL Nitro Series finale

The 8th and final round of this season’s JBRL Nitro Series was held at Hot Rod Hobbies in Saugus, California this past weekend, attracting over 100 entries. In the Expert Buggy A-main it was Anthony Westergaard with they overall TQ and he also walked away with the win in the single 15-minute A-main event, leaving behind Cole Jenson in 2nd place only some three second back. Carlos Arredondo came in 3rd to round out the podium result.
