Rose & van Huth win at Central German season finale

The final Central German IC Track outdoor race of the year was held at the Wachterbach track, also known as Little Monaco. Three classes and dry weather made for competitive racing and in the fastest of the three, 1/8th IC track class 1, it was Philip Sting on pole position after qualifying, with Dominik Schrumpf in 2nd spot and veteran racer, Hartmut Rose in 3rd position. The long 30-minute race went very well, and after some trouble for the leaders, Hartmut took the win by his first ever class 1 race with a two lap margin from Jörg Waeldle and Philip Sting.

Sweep EXP R3 Pro Carpet touring car rubber tyres

Coming from Sweep Racing is their new EXP R3 Pro Carpet competition touring car rubber tyre. The all-new tyre was developed in cooperation with Mibosport for the use on ETS spec carpet and as hand-out tyre for the popular Mibosport Cup series. Testing took place in Europe and Asia with the help of different level Modified and Stock drivers, and it was headed by Mibosport driver Ronald Völker. The tyres use the proven carpet 32 shore hardness rubber compound with the new R3 carcass profile offering improved steering response and forward traction. The carcass has a rounder shape for better steering emphasis and the durable compound will ensure more consistent lap times toward the end of a run. In addition the all-new pink-colour tyre insert helps with overall durability, ensuring exceptional tyre life. The tyres will become available from the second week of October.

Hiro Factory HRF10X-PB Premium Blacky formula kit

Japanese brand Hiro Factory has introduced the new HRF10X-PB Premium Blacky 1/10th formula kit. The car builds on a premium hard carbon fibre main chassis plate and it features the newly developed C-ADJ-S camber and caster system up front that allows to adjust both parameters without the need to change parts, making it swift, easy and reliable. The aluminium servo mount doubles as a chassis stiffener brace and two aluminium triangles enable the racer to adjust the front-centre chassis stiffness. The steering arm design allows to adjust the steering Ackermann to vary the amount of steering available and an O-ring retained battery mount ensures the battery can be swapped without the need for additional tools. Other features include a high-capacity centre shock absorber, all-aluminium precision tube dampers as well as an aluminium ADJ roll plate to adjust overall chassis roll. The rear of the car houses the carbon fibre rear axle, and the ball differential with centre lock type left wheel hub and lightweight right wheel hub. A motor cooling fan mount and height adjustable wing mount round out the package. The car is usable with rubber and foam tyres and it can be built in narrow or wide track specification.

MIP Enduro X-Duty centre drive kit

MIP have introduced their new X-Duty centre drive kit for the Element RC Enduro range of trail trucks. The set is a direct replacement for the standard kit parts, offering increased strength and a high amount of durability compared to the plastic kit drives. Included in the fully rebuildable set are hardened steel telescopic design centre driveshafts, couplers, shims and all needed hardware.

Sweep Sweeper 1/8th buggy tyre

Coming soon from Sweep Racing is their new Sweeper tyre for 1/8th off-road buggies. The tread is made up of countless mini pins, making it ideal for mid to high grip dirt surface. The Sweeper tyre has curved outer pins in order to offer a smooth cornering feeling and an easy driving feeling on high grip conditions. The wide centre pins make for extended durability and the newly designed V6 carcass provides a smooth car feeling on the track. The tyre is available in Gold, Yellow, Silver, Blue, and Red as well as all of the respective X compounds.

Colombian Electric On-road Champs Rd3 – Report

Round 3 of the Colombian National 1/10th Electric On-road Championship was held at the Pista Speedway RC track in Rionegro, Antioquia last weekend. The schedule saw two rounds of qualifying and five main legs, with a Reedy style points system being used. In 10.5T Touring Superstock it was Jorge Rodriguez (Awesomatix) taking the TQ and win over Sebastian Marin (Xray) in 2nd place and Leonardo Buitrago (Xray) in 3rd, after a tight battle over the five races.

WRC STX steering rail sliding pads

Made for WRC Racing’s STX line of 1/10th scale touring cars are new steering rail sliding pads. Made from an anti-friction material the pads were designed to replace the standard bearings with the pads offering a longer life and greater precision, resulting in enhanced overall steering feeling. The pads come as pairs and including two shims.

Tekno RC introduce NB48 2.0 optionals

Tekno RC have announced the release of some new option and tuning parts that are designed to further enhance the performance of the NB48 2.0 buggy. First up are hard compound suspension arms that are made from a stiff composite material and are intended to be used in hot weather conditions or any time a more direct feeling is desired to sharpen up the handling. Tekno RC recommend using these arms when the ambient temperature is above 35 degrees Celsius but they are not as durable if used in temps below 5 degrees Celsius. No additional parts are required when replacing stock arms but they are 1mm longer and will require camber, toe, and bump-steer to be readjusted.
