Pilot Orbit 1/10th buggy ceramic bearing sets

Coming from Pilot RC Products for many of today’s competition 1/10th buggy kits are Orbit ceramic ball bearings sets. The ball races are precision crafted and produced from highest grade materials governing them the ABEC rating grade 7. They are of a stainless steel rings and Si3N4 ceramic balls design and they come pre-oiled with 1up clear bearing oil for ultra free spinning and increased drivetrain efficiency. Included with each bearing kit is a complimentary bottle of 1up clear bearing lube to ensure the bearings remain properly lubed. The sets are available for many Team Associated, TLR, Yokomo and Kyosho 2WD and 4WD kits as well as the serpent Spyder SRX-2 MM.

Yeah Racing M-08 alloy & titanium optionals

Yeah Racing have announced the release of new optional parts for the Tamiya M-08 M-chassis on-road car. First up is an aluminium steering assembly that was designed to replace the standard plastic parts for a ball-raced construction that adds both precision and strength. Machined from high-quality 7075 alloy and coming black anodised, the alloy steering ball cranks and steering plate will greatly improve stability while the ball bearings ensure smooth steering action while taking out most of the slop experienced with the original design. The steering set is a direct fit and it will hit stores very soon.

Ragaut & Berthoud win at Coupe de France

The RACG Grenoble club held the Coupe de France electric on-road race last weekend in several electric on-road classes. In Touring Modified it was Hugo Ragaut with the overall TQ from Cyril N’diaye on the P2 spot after the qualifiers. The single 10-minutes A-main event again saw Hugo coming out on top, leaving behind Cyril in 2nd place some nine seconds behind. Behind the three it was Jeremy Limoges who would round out the top 3 podium result.

Tamiya Top Force carbon chassis conversion kit

Tamiya have announced the soon release of a carbon fibre chassis conversion kit for the popular Top Force 1/10th 4WD vintage buggy. The set includes the lower main chassis, upper deck as well as front and rear shock towers cut from high-quality 2.0mm carbon fibre with the upper deck being decorated by white prints for added visual impact. Also included with the set come adjustable left/right thread turnbuckles that allow for easier suspension setup changes. The set will improve the buggy’s performance especially in higher grip conditions and it is usable with the original and re-release Top Force kits.

MIP SWorkz Bypass1 shock piston set

MIP have announced the release of their Bypass1 shock piston set for SWorkz’s 1/8th scale off-road buggies and trucks. Featuring colour-codes valves, the Bypass1 pistons allow to control and maximise the car’s performance based on which valves used. Thicker valves generate a slower rebound and thinner valves get quicker rebounds. Each set includes four pistons and a set of three different valves. The SWorkz-specific set features 16mm 6-hole pistons suitable for the S35 and S35-T vehicles and it comes including four pistons, three types of valves and mounting hardware.

BRCA Touring Car Nationals finale – Report

The final round of this year’s BRCA Touring Car Nationals were held at the iconic Aldershot last weekend. Heading into it both classes were yet to be decided. In Modified, Olly Jefferies has been battling hard with Elliott Harper all season and either of them could take the championship and in Stock the battle would be between Schumacher’s James Hart and Zak Finlay with Colin Jackson having an outside chance. In Modified Olly dominated proceedings with his prototype Schumacher chassis, winning all four rounds locking out TQ for the meeting. His rival Elliott Harper (Xray) would line up second from Team Associated’s Zak Smith who was also very fast this weekend.

Romanian 1/10th Buggy Nationals – Report

This year’s Romanian 1/10th Buggy Nationals were held in Pucioasa on a technical, high-traction indoor carpet track. In the Senior 2WD Buggy class it was the duo of Catalin Matei and Cristian Faur who battled it out with Catalin, top qualifier, made it to the top opening two A-main events. Cristian Faur had to settle for 2nd in front of George Vladu to complete the podium.

Kyosho Ultima 2WD re-release buggy – Coming soon

Kyosho have announced the soon release of their 1980’s Ultima 2WD vintage buggy kit. The re-release kit will feature a couple of improvements to ensure better durability when running modern day equipment such as powerful LiPo batteries and brushless motors. The core of the buggy however, the unique U-shaped alloy chassis, remained unchanged. New features will include front and rear composite shock towers, updated red body alloy shock absorbers, reinforced suspension components, a new wing mount as well as reinforced gearbox internals such as a sturdy gear differential, a slipper clutch and metal gears. Full details will become available in time for the release, however Kyosho have not mentioned an exact date for now.
