Leadfinger Racing SRX8 Pro A2.1 Tactic body shell

Leadfinger Racing have announced the release of their A2.1 Tactic body shell for the Serpent SRX8 Pro buggy. The A2.1 Tactic body is a one off design that delivers a tuning option in between the original LFR Assassin and A2 Tactic bodies. The idea for the A2.1 body was spawned by Doug and Justin Fales when they were looking to gain more stability and slightly more down force to the existing A2 Tactic that now features several changes. First is the addition of the cowl scoops on the side pods. Depending on the performance the driver is looking for, these can be left alone to add to the overall down force of the car, or owners can choose to drill them out for additional cooling. When opened up, the pipe side of the cowl pulls air directly past the block and manifold of the nitro motor. The next addition was the fin on top of the roof. The advantage is more stability in high speed sections of the track and a more precise feel under hard cornering. Very effective is the additional down force added to both side pods and rear swoop that sets the body directly in between both the Assassin and A2 designs. The A2.1 body for the Serpent SRX8 Pro is available both in light weight or standard thickness and it comes in clear, including window masks, stickers and ready for paint.

RC Maker MMCX CentraFlex top deck set

Made for the Awesomatix A800 MMCX mid motor car is RC Maker’s new MMCX CentraFlex top deck set. Complimenting RC Maker’s successful “SlimFlex” top deck, the CentraFlex aims to offer a larger range of flex tuning options and characteristics for the A800 MMCX. Conventionally in mid motor setups, the front of the top deck is entirely split in order to be able to slide the top deck over the front belt. This provides a significant amount of flex to the front of the car only, creating quite an imbalance in the top decks flex characteristics. The CentraFlex has been developed to slide in from the side under the belts, and due to the single sided design, can be joined in front of the spur gear to prevent excessive front top deck and bulkhead flex, bringing back the balance of front to rear flex provided by the top deck. As well as this, RC Maker have also added an additional post in front of the spur, to add more options when tuning chassis flex. By installing or removing the two ST019 screws either side of the spur gear, racers can change the flex point of the car instantly, either moving it forwards or backwards to adjust the balance of the car.

Starting with the motor fan mount, the part is machined from aluminium and it is of a vented design, allowing cooling air to escape for improved cooling efficiency while adding visual impact. The dark anodised mount with machined silver edge details attaches to the front bumper mount and it is usable with standard 30mm fan units. Also new is a carbon fibre body post stiffener that braces the rear body posts for improved stability and thus optimised aerodynamics. The machined carbon fiber brace is a direct fit.
