Coelho takes Q1 on reverse Hudy layout

Bruno Coelho has taken the opening qualifier at the Season Finale of the Yokomo Euro Touring Series but the Xray driver had to work hard for it against title rival Ronald Volker.  With uncertain weather conditions for the next two days, mainly the high risk of thunderstorms, it was an earlier start than usual to qualifying with all four rounds scheduled to be run today (Friday).  Another change to format for the closing race of the season is the track layout, Race Director Scotty Ernst making the announcement at the start of yesterday’s  practice that the event would run in the clockwise direction.  While the direction change has been met with mixed views, Coelho got the best from his car in the extreme heat to go fastest from Volker by 3/10ths of a second with Alexander Hagberg completing the Top 3 ahead of Awesomatix pairing Lucas Urbain and Loic Jasmin.

JConcepts Scale & Trail Truck drawstring tote bag

JConcepts have announced the release of their new drawstring tote bag for 1:10 Scale and Trail trucks. In many instances, Scale trucks are very dirty once they leave the trail grounds and its common for drivers to look for a cleaner way to move them from place to place. Alas, JConcepts has delivered on the tidy pit option. Important to the seasoned driver and relative newcomer, the drawstring bag has a handy base design with durable material. The bag is comprised of multiple compartments where the largest available space is specifically designed for a Scale RC vehicle. Inside the large opening is a divider which allows the user to separate items, such as instruction manuals, setup books or generally small related items, from the vehicle compartment. On the outside, a zipper closure opens to another slide compartment that can be completely isolated from other items. Large gauge drawstrings are located on the perimeter which when pulled together clinches the bag at the top. Heavy stitching is used throughout to help maintain construction and the main material offers some resistance to moisture in select closed areas. Small holes are located at the bottom of the outside pouch for ventilation. The bag is topped off with printed JConcepts Racing Team logo for authenticity and brand loyalty.

RC Maker AM19-2 upper bulkhead support stiffeners

Coming from RC Maker and made for the Awesomatix AM19-2 upper bulkheads are carbon fibre stiffener plates. Constructed from very stiff 0.5mm carbon, then are extremely lightweight and provide increased rigidity to the “ears” on the upper bulkheads where the camber link mounts. In awkward collisions with boards on tight, twisty tracks, these ears can bend when hitting boards or barriers and throw our the camber and caster, and are sometimes quite difficult to detect at first. These will help prevent these upper bulkheads twisting by providing an extra layer of supper bridged between the camber link ball-stud and bulkhead screw. Being only 0.5mm thick, they do not need a longer screw in the bulkhead, however if owners want to, this will further increase rigidity. The stiffeners are able to stay on the car when removing diffs etc, and are held in position by the camber link ballstuds. The stiffeners are available in 8-piece packs from now on.
