Capricorn NT1 WC edition clutch & 2662 muffler

Following the success of the new NT1 WC edition clutch at the 200mm Pre Worlds, where it was used by Ralph Burch, Capricorn RC have announced the availability of this product. Supplied with the new 0.9 gram lighter clutch bell, it is able to fit the originals Xray pinion gears. The set also includes an extra light spring stay, 2 red shoes, 2 thrust bearings and 2 full sets of ball bearings. Capricorn also released their newly homologated EFRA 2662 muffler, which offer increased performance on the Q12 engine and especially with the new Novarossi based Capricorn engine line that is coming soon.

BMI Copperhead 12 and 10 LiPo pan cars

BMI Racing have released their new LiPo ready pan cars, the Copperhead 12 and Copperhead 10, the latest upgrade to BMI´s well known DB12RR LiPo and DB10R. Both cars come with a newly designed LiPo only chassis as well as the newest upgrade to the company’s flex link suspension. Just like the DB12 and DB10 series the Copperhead has the BMI powerpod and front suspension, with an optional upgraded front suspension in the works. Finally the cars get their name from the new copper anodised aluminium parts, which replace the previous grey colour.

ABEC35 Type-X Pan car bearings

Ball bearing specialist, ABEC35, have released new ball bearings for most 1/12 pan chassis and 1/10 World GT Class. Based on their Type-X technology, oiled with rubber shields, economy and ceramic hybrid. They claim that these ball bearings are as smooth as metal shielded ball bearings and protect against hair from indoor carpet tracks. Available in model FR2-5 (1/8×5/16 x9/64F) and model FR168 (1/4×3/8 x1/8F).

Mega ZX21 & ZX12 DS4 engines

Mega have released the latest generation DS4 ZX21 and ZX12 engines, the result of continuous development in cooperation with the Mega racing team and Picco. The ZX21 3.5cc circuit engine features a new 7 port ABC set, new cooling head with 3-fin combustion chamber and crankshaft with new timing. Also available in the hand tuned EM version, it additionally sports a black case, lightweight crankshaft, hand selected piston & liner and hand work on the porting. The ZX12 2.1cc engine has a new cooling head and new back plate, with the EM version sporting the same upgrades as on the ZX21 version.

New from CRC for use with their Encore Shocks, Durashocks and other brands of shocks is this new line of springs. Sold in a complete set of 6 or individually, you can get them in blue, white, red, green, purple and black. Also from CRC is their tire sanding paddle that has a coarse 60 grit on one end to round the edges on even the toughest rubber, such as purple front tires. Then flip it around and get the perfect finish with the 120 grit end.

Xray have released this strategically-lightened locating collar made from tough 7076 T6 aluminium, which replaces the composite collar used on the front middle shaft or 2-speed shaft on the NT1. The result is that the rotating mass is reduced without sacrificing strength or durability.

Motonica P81 optional transmission

Motonica P81 optional transmissions

Italian company Motonica have released new optional rear pulleys for their P81 1/8th scale and now offer three types of transmission combination’s for the car. The transmission included in P81 kit consists of the 51T pulley on the rear main shaft and the 22T pulley on the 2-speed axle, which is combined with a 25T pulley on the side a configuration which gives the car more drive to the front wheels. Motonica now offer an optional 50T pulley, sold as a set including 2 aluminium eccenters to adjust the tension of the rear shaft, that helps give more drive to the rear wheels. Further to this, there is also a 48T rear shaft pulley that when combined with a 20T on the 2-speed axle and a 26T pulley on the side, gives a more balanced ratio between the front and rear. This last configuration also results in the need for a shorter gear ratio between pinions and spur gears.
