Oscar Navarro TQs & wins Madrid Buggy Regionals Rd4

The fourth round of the Madrid 1/8th Buggy Regionals was held at the Automodelismo Tarancon track last weekend with nearly 30 drivers in attendance. Oscar Navarro and Juanma Guillen battled it out for the TQ with the better end for Oscar who also brought home the win in the 45-minute A-main final. Some 21 seconds behind it was Dani Vega on the runner-up spot while Miguel Reyes completed the top 3 podium result some four laps down on Oscar and Dani.

Toto Ebukuro takes JMRCA 1/12th scale Modified title

The Japanese JMRCA 1/12th scale National Championships were held at the world-famous Yatabe Arena this past weekend. Run in Modified and Stock classes it was Yokomo’s Toto Ebukuro with the overall win in the Modified category from Toshi Yanagisawa with the vice-championship. Destiny’s Kazuki Yamashita would come in 3rd to round out the podium.

Alain Sarafyan wins at Buyukcekmece track opening race

The Turkish Buyukcekmece track held their track opening race last weekend with some of the countries fastest 1/8th off-road drivers making for some tight racing. In 1/8th E-Buggy it was Xray’s Alain Sarafyan with the TQ and also the overall victory as Mugen’s Ilker Alarcin and TLR’s Kadir Kahramaner came in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Danial Miswan sweeps Lap Paradise Off-Road League Rd4

The 4th round of the Lap Paradise Off-Road League was held at the Lap Paradise RC Raceway in Malaysia last weekend. Danial Miswan was in control of things all weekend, taking the overall Nitro Buggy TQ after the qualifiers and also bringing home the win in the 60-minute A-main event a lap in front of Adam Fikri on the runner-up spot. Kent Sung came in 3rd to round out the podium another two laps as as Terrence Lim and Faris Amir completed the top 5 results.

Yokomo introduce new Racing Performer offroad springs

Coming from Yokomo are additional 1/10th scale buggy and truck springs as part of their Racing Performer range of option parts. Available very soon are three new front and two new rear springs with the front items being 1mm longer than the previous springs for improved vehicle control during cornering. They come in soft (high grip dirt), medium (astro/carpet) and hard (4WD carpet) variants while the rear springs will offer additional setup possibilities especially on high-grip surfaces with hard (astro/carpet) and soft (high grip dirt) variants being available.

Ed Kerry wins South East Regional Series Rd3

Round 3 of the 4WD South East Regional Series was held at the Barham track last weekend. In the en it was Ed Karry with the wins in A2 and A3 for the overall from Nathan Ralls with 1-3-7 finishes in 2nd. David Poulter scored three straight 2nd place finishes but had to settle for 3rd overall after the tie-breaker with Nathan.

Picco & Tironi win at Italian ACI Sport IC Track Champs

Round 2 of the ACI Sport Italian IC Track Championship was held at the Mini Autodromo Jody Scheckter track in Fiorano last weekend. In the 1/8th IC Track class it was Infinity’s Alberto Picco with the win from TQ holder, ARC’s Jonathan Gandin in 2nd. Shepherd’s Marco Vanni came in 3rd to round out the podium. In 1/10th 200mm Touring it was Infinity’s Francesco Tironi with the TQ and win from Francesco Pierella (Capricorn) in 2nd and Giuseppe Occhipinti (Serpent) in 3rd.

RC-Lemans Series Rd2 – Report

Following a small 7-weeks break the RC-Lemans Series held round 2 of their 2019 season at the Belgian Genk track last weekend. With rain at the opening round things would change dramatically as sunny and hot weather was pleasing the drivers. Round 2 attracted new drivers for the LMP2 class and both the fast LMP1 and stock LMP2 class would be held with nearly full A and B mains which added to the great racing action. Thomas Stenger, reigning German 1/12th Stock champion, took the overall TQ with a new lap and track record in LMP2 and in front of reigning LMP2 champ, Rainer Schad. Mathijs Hermens came in 3rd from Michel van der Velden and Michael Holla. Over in LMP1 it was Kai Altmann with wins in all three qualifiers for the overall TQ from Tobias Weist in 2nd. Round 1 winner, Timo Schad came in 3rd to round out the qualifying top 3. Reigning LMP1 champion Tim Altmann came in 4th after only making the B-main at the opening round. Andreas Dick would complete the top 5 for now.
