Pontus Larsson wins at Middle Swedish Cup Rd2

The Swedish town of Trollhättan held round 2 of the Middle Swedish 1/8th Off-road Cup last weekend. Pontus Larsson came out on top after the qualifiers, despite struggling with the car a little bit. After winning the semifinals Pontus would start from Pole Position into the final but he would make a mistake on the opening lap which dropped him to 2nd. Keeping his head down he quickly got past the leader and from there he never looked back to take the win with a 2-lap margin and a new track record. Kristian Johansson came in 2nd from 3rd placed Micke Svensson, the latter a further two laps back.

Kyosho RB7 front wing mount set

Kyosho have announced the soon release of a front wing mount set for their Ultima RB7 buggy. The set includes the front wing mount, that attaches to the front shock tower, as well as mounting hardware. Not included is the necessary front wing. Generally using a front wing will keep the vehicle more planted during fast cornering and while jumping, making it a nice feature to fine-tune the buggy’s aero package.

Xray T4 adjustable shorty battery holder & weights

Coming from Xray and made for their T4 line of touring cars is a fully adjustable shorty LiPo battery holder with weights. The set for shorty LiPo batteries allows to move the batteries front to rear by 4mm but also left to right for easy and comfortable weight transfer adjustment. The design of the battery mount also eliminates any negative chassis flex, making for a more equal left-to-right turning of the car. The included 40g brass weights set the battery in a central position for a perfect weight balance. In general, using a shorty battery with the low profile weights allows to lower the weight of the car which helps to make it easier to drive, more stable in the chicanes but in the same time it improves the rotation of the car. Xray recommended the layout especially for the modified class on carpet or small asphalt tracks.
