Hudy Set-up bag for 1/8 Off-Road & Truggy

Hudy have released this set-up system carrying bag that allows the carrying of most 1/8 off-road and truggy set-up systems available on the market, with a multitude of different pockets & straps to accommodate most popular components. Inside the bag there are individual pockets and elasticized bands that can accommodate the following types of components: set-up system, droop blocks & gauges, ride height gauges and more. A separate storage area is given for set-up wheels and camber gauge, while a velcro-sealed pocket is used for storing fasteners and accessories. The extra long truggy upside measure plate fits perfectly into the bag as well. Made from lightweight nylon for high strength and durability and featuring a super-modern look with stylish full-color graphics.

HPI Blitz options & new servos

HPI have released a whole load of new products, with a focus being on their new short course truck, the Blitz. New for the Blitz are these aluminium threaded shocks for the front and rear of the truck. These tough, precision-machined anodized aluminum shocks deliver low friction for smooth dampening and better handling. Features include tough aluminium construction, titanium nitride coated shafts for smooth operation, track-tuned springs, 40wt silicone shock oil and threaded bodies with preload collars for fast and easy ride height adjustment. To add custom looks to your truck their are these new shock part sets that come in orange, brown or clear anodizing. Also for the shock absorbers, HPI have released new racing spring sets, giving a wide variety of tuning choices to dial in the handling of their trucks to track conditions for faster lap times. This set features 4 pairs of gray front springs that are color coded for easy identification. Lastly for the Blitz, new precision molded 48 pitch nylon spur gears are available in 77T, 83T & 88T and come with the slipper pad pre-applied, making them a direct bolt-on replacement part. Finally from HPI there are two new servos, the high torque SF-20 and SH-33PS, the former being a high performance upgrade to the SF-1 servo and a direct replacement for the SF-2 servo, while the latter is a high performance mini servo intended for cars like the HPI Cup Racer and other 1/12 scale cars.

Kyosho Ultima SC Truck

Following on from the preview we received back in September of the new Ultima SC truck from Kyosho, comes the release of the complete specifications and features on this 2wd short course truck that is due to be released next month. The boom of the R/C short course racing is spreading across the world and is becoming a part of some of the major races in the U.S. ROAR already has announced this class and regulations have been introduced. The Ultima SC has been designed with all of the racing performance in mind and meets all ROAR regulations. This Ready-Set is not just a backyard basher but a race ready chassis with many of the high performance traits from the Ultima RT5.

Mugen MBX-6/T bearing sets

New from Mugen Seiki, for the European Championship winning MBX-6 buggy and MBX-6T truggy, are these new bearing sets. Sold in two different versions, the first set comprises of 10 pieces of 15x21x4mm for the car’s uprights, while the second bearing set is made of a variety of different bearings for the rest of the car, totaling 24 pieces. Available in late November.

Pro-Line V2 Evo Inserts, Hole Shot 2.0 & more

Beginning this month’s tire releases from Pro-Line is their all new 1:8 V2 Evo Buggy Inserts, that claim to be the lightest closed cell foam available on the market. Perfectly balanced, they require no break in period and remain more consistent in size, shape and density than traditional closed cell foam. Also new is the Hole Shot 2.0 2.2″ Off-Road buggy rear tires, that we showed you a sneak peak of during the weekend. Featuring an updated pin design that lasts longer, small, square-lug technology throughout tire, they sport new outer pins which are angled to resist catching ruts. Next up, the Inside Job tire is renowned as a fantastic performer when the track surface is high bite. M3 compound is soft and made more for outdoor track conditions. Today, Pro-Line offers the Inside Job in their ultra-exclusive MC compound for indoor clay tracks. PL are also now offering their Revolver, Caliber and Hole Shot VTR truck tires in sets that contain no inserts, allowing you to choose the insert that suits you best. Pro-Line Mugen MBX-6T Bull Dog shell

Following on Pro-Line’s previous releases of the Bull Dog truggy shell for the Associated RC8T and the Hot Bodies D8T, comes a version for the Mugen MBX-6T. Made from Genuine GE .060 lexan, its bull nose front end increases corner speed, while the elongated bed increases air flow to the wing. Overall down force has been greatly improved over traditional 1:8 truck bodies with the engine head exposed for easy temp checks and igniter accessibility. Paint then peel overspray film, sticker sheet, and window masks included.

Factory Team Machined Delrin Tapered Shock pistons

Designed to fit perfectly in Team Associated’s 16mm big bore shocks, these Factory Team precision-machined tapered Delrin pistons have been extensively track tested and race proven by AE’s racing team over the course of the 2009 season. These pistons, packaged in sets of four, are perfectly suited for use in the RC8B and RC8e thanks to the more progressive damping characteristics provided by the 10×1.1mm-hole pattern. Additionally the tapered profile improves rebound damping to optimize handling in all conditions.
