Answer-RC Losi 8ight Options

Answer-RC Losi 8ight Options

Answer-RC have released a number of new option parts for the Losi 8ight buggy and truggy. First up is this aluminium flywheel which provides an excellent alternative to the original Losi item. Wider knurling increases contact with the starter box making for easier cranking of that tight motor. Precision machined comes with special Losi size low depth collet. Other clutch items include a new tempered flywheel nut for the losy clutch system as well as precision CNC machined pins for the Losi clutch system that use a special slot rather than the original hex design meaning no more stripped hex fittings on the pins. Finally for the same range of cars are some precision CNC machined shock spring holders, which utilise a longer spring holder to give a more reliable and safer position on the shock. Specially drilled for minimum weight, each piece weighs only 3grams, they are sold in a packet of 4.

K-Factory B8 One-piece engine mount

From K-Factory for the Team Magic B8, comes this new one-piece engine mount. Machined from a single block of high grade aluminium, its design ensures that both wings of the engine mount are perfectly aligned to reduce any possible pressure on the engine crankcase. In addition, both upper & lower sides of the mount are leveled by CNC machine to ensure full contact with the chassis and engine, while the block’s multi-fin design helps improve heat dissipation.

RC Modifications Carbon/alu MBX-6 towers

RC Modifications Carbon/alu MBX-6 towers

Danish company RC Modifications had the idea to make a shock tower using the combination of two different materials, carbon fibre and 7075 aluminium. The idea is to avoid breakages that can happen with carbon shock towers yet retain the lightweight. They succeeded and have created this half carbon half alu shock towers for the front and rear of the Mugen MBX-6. The front tower only weighs 21grams, only 4 grams heavier than the full carbon tower, while the rear tower weighs in at 27grams. Currently only in the protoype phase, expect a release in the near future.
