Team Associated SC10 RTR

Team Associated SC10 RTR

Team Associated have unveiled the RTR version of their 1/10th scale ready-to-run electric truck, the SC10. Based on the 6-time ROAR Nationals-winning RC10T4, the engineers behind the doors in Area 51 made the SC10 both all show and all go. It comes ready-to-run with a factory finished short course race-truck body, short course style wheels and aggressive tread multi-terrain tires, all which have been designed to look just like the full-size race trucks that run in short course off-road series around the country. The world of high-performance 1:10 scale electric R/C has never before seen this level of scale accuracy.

Pro-Line Caliber & Suburb tires

Pro-Line Caliber & Suburb tires

New from Pro-Line are the Caliber 1/8th scale buggy tire and the Suburbs for 1/10th scale trucks. The Caliber’s step-pin technology collides with small pin technology to bring you a tire tread that is versatile and long-lasting. The small top pin is good for light to heavy loose dirt, while the base pin works great on hard-packed/blue-groove surfaces. Available in XTR, M2 and M3 compounds. The Suburbs are now available for 1/10 truck owners in M3 and new MX compounds and feature an inner and outer radius rib tread for increased corner holding and predictable side-bite. The internal carcass webbing resist tire expansion under acceleration and deceleration, while the internal sidewall ribbing maintains sidewall structure in extreme traction conditions for greater corner control. Tread height is predictable, aggressive, and long-lasting for use on a variety of blue-groove, and surfaces where you would typically run soft compound tires.

When US based company X Factory introduced the X-6 three years ago it made a huge impact on the otherwise ‘traditional’ 2WD off-road buggy market. The X-6 utilized an unconventional design by dropping the popular rear motor design for the promising mid-motor layout associated with certain Italian sports cars … Despite that fact that some voices arose that state a real 2WD buggy has to have a rear mounted motor, the success of the X-6, especially in the UK, showed that X Factory made the correct decision.
