Mota sweeps Italian GT12 Series Rd3

The third round of the 2019 Italian GT12 Series was initially scheduled to take place on the outdoor track of QuellidelModellismoRC in Casalecchio di Reno, near Bologna, but with an awful weather forecast for the whole weekend, the organisers decided to move the event to nearby RC Landia, thus securing a regular progress of the race on the indoor ETS carpet track of the famous facility. As controlled practice and qualification rounds unfolded during the morning, it was a tight battle at the top between series’ leaders Alessio Tolomelli (Schumacher) and Alessio Mota (Schumacher) with the latter emerging the fastest of the field and finally securing the TQ spot for the afternoon’s finals ahead of Tolomelli and Alessandro Rampini (Treerremodellismo).

Team Associated B6.1DL 2WD buggy kit

Team Associated have introduced their limited edition B6.1DL 2WD buggy kit developed for racing on very high bite tracks where a forward mass is beneficial and chassis roll needs to be tamed through a low centre of gravity. Belgian Electric On-road Nationals Rd2 – Report

The second round of the 2019 FBA Belgian EP On-road Nationals was held this past weekend at the outdoor track of the MRCZ Zwevegem. Due to the bad weather that affected races all over Europe this weekend, the turnout was a bit lower than expected. The MCRZ club however did a great job to provide the drivers with a fun and technical track on the available parking lot. Free practice on Saturday proved that finding a good setup would be extremely difficult. The frequent rain showers meant that the drivers practiced with different grip levels on each and every run. When the racers arrived on Sunday morning, the track was fully wet and a wet race was declared. This meant that the racers could chose between a rain chassis and a dry chassis to cope with the changing track.

Smart engine break-in system

The new Smart engine brake-in system allows automated engine breaking-in for easier and faster preparation of new nitro engines. The engine will be fixed in the device whose sensors will monitor and control parameters such as RPM, temperature, load and more in order to provide a safe and convenient break-in process without having to dismantle the engine. A glow plug igniter, heater, cooling fan as well as as stater are all incorporated into the unit as is a special TDC function that prevents the system from stopping the engine on the top dead centre which can harm the piston and liner. Instead the unit will ensure the engine will be kept at the bottom dead centre before the start and after the operation, ensuring prolonged parts life. The break-in process is widely customisable in terms of RPM, temperature, load and throttle curve and it can also be monitored using an optional WiFi module and a mobile device.
