RCLyfe TLR 22-4 2.0 5mm carbon front tower

Coming soon from RCLyfe is a 5mm carbon fibre front shock tower for the TLR 22.4 2.0 4WD buggy. The updated front tower adds style and function to the front of the 22-4 2.0 as it is available with standard or extra camber link locations, allowing to access a combined 14 possible link locations. The tower is made from 5mm carbon fibre and has a chamfer to eliminate catching the track on rollovers. Also available is an optional front wing mount to add a JConcepts B64 Aero low front wing.

Jamie Clancy wins at HNMC Summer Series Rd3

Round 3 of the HNMC Summer Series was held this past weekend at the Herts Nitro Model Club. Qualifying in Buggy was taken by Jamie Clancy with Karl Jackson taking E-Buggy and Pano TQ-ing Truggy. The 20-minute Buggy A-main then saw again Jamie Clancy (Team Associated) getting it done with HB Racing’s Graham Alsop and Team Associated’s Michael Lewis coming in 2nd and 3rd respectively. Karl Jackson would walk away with the win in the 12-minute E-Buggy main while George Miller snatched the win in Truggy.

Yeah Racing XV01 carbon fibre long front shock tower

Yeah Racing have announced the release of a long front shock tower for the Tamiya XV01 kit. The shock stay is machined from high-quality carbon fibre and it was designed to replace the standard composite plastic item, making for improved looks and increases strength. Included with the shock stay come two blue anodised alloy spacers.

CS Electronic CSX V2 brushless motors

German company CS Electronic have introduced their new CSX V2 540-class modified and stock electric brushless motors. Based on the previous CSX the V2 variants offer improved performance, lower energy consumption, lower operation temperatures and a lower weight. At the same time the power curve and drivability have been improved. This was achieved by utilising a new internal design and Ti magnet material. The modified motor is available in 4.0T to 8.5T specification while the stock variant comes in 10.5T to 25.5T windings.

Giovanni Camamo wins at Euro B warm-up race

The warm-up race to the EFRA European B Buggy Championship was held at the Spanish RC Silla track this past weekend. Giovanni Camamo would bring home the win in the 30-minute A-main event from Jean Marc Lacheze on the 2 spot, a lap down. Twelve seconds behind Jean Marc it was Mirko Belli who would round out the top 3 podium result.

Graham Alsop wins at Slough Summer Series Rd2

Round 2 of the Summer Series was held at the RWMCC track in Slough, UK on yesterday’s bank holiday Monday. HB Racing’s Graham Alsop would walk away with the win in the Nitro Buggy class, leaving behind Jonathan Skidmore in 2nd, some 13 seconds down as SWorkz’s Kevin Brunsden came in 3rd, another eleven seconds down. Agama’s Jon Hazlewood and Team Associated’s Darren Hayden-Ball would round out the top 5 a lap behind the top 3.

WRC Racing STX soft composite suspension arms

WRC Racing have announced the release of soft composite suspension arms for the STX range of touring cars. Of a softer material than the standard arms, they are ideal when running in low ambient temperatures or on very low to low bite tracks as they can improve overall traction available from the tyres. The arms come as separate front and rear items.

Kurzbuch & Schär win at Swiss IC Track opener

The opening round of the Swiss IC Track Championship was held at the fast and demanding Sitterdorf track near the Lake Constance last weekend. The event was influenced by recurrent snowfall and rain resulting in very low grip. In the 1/8th class pilots had to fight through ice, snow, wet and cold and there were tough demands on man and machine. The main final was run under damp/dry conditions and it was Simon Kurzbuch with a clean sweep, taking the TQ and the victory from Luca Martinelli in 2nd and Jürg Nydegger in 3rd.
